Reviews of Animal Emergency & Critical Care of Lynchburg
"Excellent care from the moment I spoke with them on the phone. Very friendly and compassionate staff. Quick assessment and right to care, keeping me informed all along the way. First class service! Thanks for taking such good care of my baby!"
"My dog was vomiting and unable to stand on his own. I didn't call ahead, just got him there as quickly as possible. He was seen and treated immediately. Apparently he'd had a seizure. He was treated,up and walking shakily within the hour. I'm thankful for the staff and the respect and love they showed Doc and myself."
"Took my cat to be seen due to vomiting 10+ times from eating a Mum plant more than likely. She had not been eating or drinking all day. Front staff was very friendly and concerned. Filled out paper work and then was taken back to a room. Waited about 30 minutes, then Dr. Serocki entered and put our cat on the floor. She began drilling questions and had an overwhelming condescending tone in her questioning. We felt like she was trying to discredit our answers with more questioning. Her demeanor was less than pleasant and didn’t seem like she was concerned at all. She did not provide treatment plans for my cat but the basic fluids and monitor. She only mentioned treatments when we asked or questioned her. With her demeanor, I believe it was in the best interest of my pet that we leave and seek treatment at our Primary vet in the morning. I only recommend this place if your pet is on deaths door. If your pet can wait, please take them to your regular vet."
"Our dog was bitten in her face while we were visiting friends at SML and she needed stitches. Not knowing the area we started calling around and this place was available. It was an hour away, but it was our closest option. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very compassionate and kind staff member. She checked us in and we were shown straight to a room. They took our puppy back, sedated her (required, because the wound was right by her eye), stitched her up and had her back in my lap within 25 minutes. Incredible. I found each staff member to be kind, compassionate, and genuinely interested in our puppy's well-being. This was a very stressful event - our dog is just six months old and this is our first big thing. They made a bad day better. My daughter and I were very grateful. I can't recommend them enough."
"It’s been a couple months since my visit there but I’m finally emotionally ready to share. My childhood cat of 14 years (had her since I was 6) was diagnosed with end stage kidney failure and after doing hospice care at home over the weekend, I believed the time had come to do humane euthanasia. I took her here since they were the only place in Lynchburg open that day for this service. From the moment I walked in, all the staff were extremely kind to me and understood me being an absolute wreck. They explained everything clearly to me and let me have alone time with her before and after the service. They even did a clay mold of her paw prints for no extra charge. Dr. Seroki was amazing and empathic. A couple weeks later I even got a hand written letter in the mail from her and her staff expressing their sorrow for my loss. The cremation service was smooth as well, it was actually done sooner than I expected and came in a very nice container. Thank you so much for being understanding during one of the hardest losses I’ve experienced. I will definitely return here if any of my other pets has an emergency in the future."
