"I have known Dr. Joe from when he worked at Banfield. Dr Joe is always the most welcoming vet I have seen. He takes time to explain everything and always asks if we have questions. We had to make the difficult decision last week to put our oldest baby down due to health reasons. We went to the office and Dr. Joe went over everything including previous health issues. He wanted to make sure since we knew her the best that we were sure this was the best option. Not that he was trying to change our mind he just wanted us to be sure. He took the time to explain everything to us and afterwards allowed us to spend as much time with her as we wanted. Aimee consoled us and she just knew how to handle a situation like this. She helped me realize the decision I made was the best for our baby. Allison at the desk also came over and gave us her condolences. I couldn't have a better team to be by my side during the most difficult decision I have ever had to make. I am willing to make the drive to Strasburg for all vets visits knowing I have this team taking care of my fur babies. Thank you all at Acorn you don't know how much you helped in such a horrible situation. Nothing can ever get rid of the pain of loosing her but you all definitely helped as much as you could."

"We’ve recently switched to Acorn since it’s closer to home and so far have had a great experience with Dr. Joe, Amy, Donna. My dog is a senior giant breed and I’m a self admitted helicopter mom… pretty obsessive about his care. The team at Acorn has made a very nice impression on us. Our first visit / examination Dr. Joe was very thorough and I liked the fact we didn’t feel rushed and Amy was very personable and friendly. Then almost immediately after when my dog had gotten sick, they were able to accommodate us for a same day visit and have since followed up and have patiently answered all my questions. It’s a very convenient location for us and we don’t feel like we’re just a number or a generic patient to them. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a smaller practice that will take their time and give a more personalized experience."

"I HIGHLY recommend Acorn Veterinary Centers in Strasburg. I was able to get an appt for my two 6.5yr old cats (sisters) w/in one day. We walked in to a warm, inviting reception area & were greeted w/a big smile & kind banter by the Front Desk Assistant Donna. We then met w/Dr. Joe & Vet Assistant Amy. I could not have been more impressed. They're very knowledgeable, kind, patient, worked in simpatico w/one another, and were adept at dealing w/our indoor cats who do not take well to being pricked & prodded. Dr. Joe took his time & was aware of our girls' tolerance levels. He provided common sense answers to issues & didn't get annoyed when I asked a question more than once! If I were asked to come up w/a motto for this Acorn Veterinary Center it would be: "We Treat Your Pets Like They Are Our Own Family." If your fur baby needs veterinary services, do not hesitate. Give them a call. They're good people."

"Absolutely wonderful place. I highly recommend them to anyone considering. Everyone is very kind and gentle. My dog and every animal I've seen all seem very happy and stress free. They truly do give the impression they are there for your animal. They even saw my dog for 2 separate follow ups (although quick) and they didn't even charge. They took care of my dog from pre surgery, surgery and post op. I will absolutely be using their services moving forward and recommend anyone else who's on the fence to make the call."

"Dr. Joe has been fantastic. We have a reactive dog, who really doesn't enjoy vet offices. The Acorn staff was so patient, calm, and understanding. Dr. Joe took his time with our pup, and she was so good. He was able to answer my questions when I called the next day. A good vet is hard to find, but this office is most definitely that. I'm incredibly grateful for the staff and their kindness."
