Nicewonder Field, located at 12286-12298 Itta Bena Road in Meadowview, Virginia, is home to the E&H football and men's and women's soccer teams. Completed in 1925, Fred Selfe Stadium at Nicewonder Field is one of the oldest football facilities still in use in the country. The stadium received upgrades in 2008 with the addition of artificial turf, a video scoreboard in 2009, and a Game Day Operations Center in 2010. The James H. Brooks Field House, completed in 2012, is one of the premier football facilities in NCAA Division III. The John Rutledge King Health and Physical Education Center, funded in part by E. Ward King, houses classrooms, a dance studio, and the Robert W. Gibson III Fitness Center. Bob Johnson Court in the King Center Gymnasium hosts basketball and volleyball competitions. The Aquatics Center, also in the King Center, features a 25-meter pool used by the swimming program and high school teams. The Richardson Tennis Courts, dedicated to Gretchen Carroll Richardson, are open to the public and resurfaced in 2013. Emory & Henry College Athletics offers a range of facilities and opportunities for student-athletes and the community.
