"I just happened to see this nursery while leaving the Colonial Auto Group's new carwash next door to Colonial Subaru. Perfect timing because I'd already mapped some other nurseries to visit today. I can't show the indoor flowering plant I bought because it's a birthday gift for a friend, but I can say it's not an orchid or an African violet. The gentleman working in the outdoor area was friendly and very helpful. And I got 2 great deals today: their 4" square potted herbs at 10 for $10 and an additional item for $1 off their specially-marked clearance rack outside. I plan on coming back later for one of their huge milkweed plants; the bees were going nuts for it!!"

"Boulevard always has the best selection of annuals. It's a joy to walk in and be surrounded by such vibrant colors and so many varieties to choose from. I've been really pleased with my purchases, they've lasted all season and the lantana has even reseeded itself the next year so my annuals keep going. They also have a great selection of perinnials, too. The only thing I wish were better was their selection of native plants. They're cultivars far out number their straight species. I went and spent a good hour looking through everything to find about 5 or 6 straight species out of all the 30 or so they had. Earlier in the season I bought a mix of cultivars and straight for my pollinator garden. The cultivars rarely attract bees and butterflies (with the exception of the salvia 'Hot Lips.' When looking for the straight species, you have to look up to see if they're in this area because what they consider native may be native to NC or the VA mountains but not central (Chesterfield) and Tidewater (Hopewell and Prince George). So the signage is misleading. I would absolutely lovely to see more native-to-this-area straight species for sun, shade, and pond. Then I'd come much more often to pick up what they have."

"Brought my kids here this past weekend for the pumpkin patch and loved the assortment and amount of pumpkins. Prices on pumpkins concessions and mums were great! No complaints there! I hate doing this, I don’t like to leave a negative review when I can tell that people are trying! However as an animal keeper and my kids being raised that way too we did notice some things not to our liking. Not all the animals there are the companies some are brought in for the season so not much can be done. However majority of the goats needed hoof trims badly, some were being kept on an incline surrounding a pond which is very dangerous and stressful to an animal that despises water, and one of the pigs seems underweight. I tried to call and offer my services for trims or animal keeping because the idea is wonderful wether it be educational or just enjoyment for people but felt pretty dismissed on the phone. Edit*** I greatly appreciate the response to all my concerns and feel a lot more at ease now and have raised my review. I was unaware of the breed specs for the other pig. Thank you for the information and the quickness on their hooves and please feel free to reach out if you ever need a hand with the animals it’s something I greatly enjoy. Personally my goats hate being near the water so that was my concern there. Again super appreciative of the manner of your response it shows a great deal of professionalism."
