"This has always been our least favorite venue to play in but this past weekend was terrible. They had no air conditioning on and it was beyond miserable for the players. Having a tournament with all those players and spectators it was insanely hot in there. It took a player passing out for them to finally turn it on but only for a little while. Several players slipped in sweat and sprained ankles. When we asked for them to please turn it back on after having to get towels to wipe all of the sweat off the floor, we were told they had to call the director to ask if they were allowed to. Why would you not have it on during a sporting event? You charge to get in, I think that is enough to pay to run the air conditioner for a day."
"This facility is absolutely the worst. Played 3 weeks ago, took in a small clutch that met size requirements. Went back today and was told it wasn’t allowed in the building. But yet saw 3 other individuals with the same exact bag inside. Like they’re picking and choosing who gets to go in with a bag. It’s ridiculous you pay so much money for concessions but have to stand in line for 30+ mins not allowing your child time to eat anything in between the games. The fact you have ABSOLUTELY ZERO cell phone reception is the worst inconvenience trying to keep up with game times, you can’t even receive a text from coaches or anyone letting you know where to be. Staff are unpleasant and extremely unprofessional. Forced my child to pour a water bottle out because she was only allowed one, but had the extra to fill up between matches. Hope we never have to play at this facility again."
"We have attended/participated in several volleyball events at spectrum. Every experience has been negative. 1. The parking is terrible. There isn’t enough parking for the amount of people who attend the tournaments. 2. Prior to attending the events I have read the policy to assure compliance of allowable items. Each time we have been here they have been inconsistent on what has been allowed in. One time I was permitted to bring in an allowable item on the list, the next time I came here I brought the exact item and was turned away. I fully understand following policy and procedure but being consistent is key. 3. Staff is extremely rude and personally I feel very unprofessional. I asked one of the employees for the managers name, the only answer she gave me was the manager was not here at this time, she would not give the managers name. 10/10 do not recommend Spectrum. I hope we do not return for tournaments here. Very unprofessional team that works here. Edited to add last year while at a tournament I had a broke foot. I asked for accommodations, to bring in a chair. I was spoken to in a very unprofessional manner and was told I could sit in the bleachers like everyone else. It’s not below me to sit in the bleachers, but it’s not guaranteed that there is front row seating. I told the lady that, then she told me I could climb the bleachers like everyone else. Again, I am not asking for red carpet treatment but I do feel this was an ADA issue given I had a broken foot."
"It’s never the best place but it was so much worse today. Clear bags or small wallets only. Can not bring snacks in, yet the concessions only has 1 line. Waited for an hour for concessions and my child didn’t have time to eat by the time we got through the concession line because they had already started their next game. You can’t bring a diaper bag for diaper changes or a tablet to entertain your young children during the games. Thank goodness I don’t have an infant or toddler. I’m not sure what I would have done! Never enough parking, but yet they threaten to tow you or give you a ticket if you park anywhere else. They should have enough parking to support their events then!!! I hate when my child has an even here!"
"It’s 32 degrees and raining. This is the line for the players to get into the building this morning. They are checking every single bag for snacks. Ridiculous how they treat their paying customers."
