"We love the Field School. It's a school with an attitude - "we can do it!" The scholastics are top notch. This year, my son read Shakespeare and studied constellations. Furthermore, the faculty provide individualized instruction as needed. He has developed roots and wings at the Field School."
"Field School has been a game changer for our son. He has learning disabilities and school has always been so very hard for him. Field is academically challenging, but he is given one on one attention from caring faculty members and the built in outdoor time every day makes school bearable for him. We are grateful for Field School and the long-term impact of even small academic successes on his self-confidence."
"My son attended Field school for 4 years, 5th through 8th grade. It completely exceeded our already high expectations! The academics were strong and teachers were so engaging. He transitioned to high school feeling fully prepared. I loved how the teachers really got to know each student. Actually, everyone there knew the boys- from the devoted teachers and caring school administration to the incredible chef (who prepared a delicious lunch everyday)! My son loved his class and made lifelong friends while there, too. There always was a real sense of community. I highly recommend the Field School with no reservations."
"Our son is in his second year at Field and it has been an excellent fit for him. We are so pleased he is having such a positive middle school experience and likes going to school each day. His biggest complaint is doing homework, but it has never felt like an excessive amount. He joined Field in 5th grade after homeschooling his whole life while we lived overseas. He struggled a bit with reading and writing, so we were concerned about how he would do in a school environment with higher expectations for independent work. We talked this over with the school administration and they told us that while they do not have specialists (speech, reading, etc.), what they do have are dedicated teachers and small class size. Truly this worked well for my son and he has thrived academically and socially. The faculty do very well helping the boys address conflicts and arguments and bullying has never been an issue for us. It seems like everyone I’ve talked to feels similarly. The school has a lot of extracurricular options for kids who are into team sports and for those who are not. There is a lot of physical activity, group games, and fun options for the boys to choose from. My son (not into team sports as much) has done archery, basketball, disc golf, board games, stained glass, stringed instruments, newspaper, and several other things which he was able to choose from. We give Field School five stars!"
"Field School has been nothing short of transformative for our son. He has thrived in their small school environment, where he is known to everyone - both staff and students. His talents are seen, praised and encouraged, while his areas for continued growth are attended to appropriately. Students are active - recess AND sports, every day, no matter the weather. The curriculum is relevant, rigorous, engaging and relatable. Field School has been the optimal environment for the growth and development of our middle school son. We only wish we could send him through high school as well!"
