"First time ever at Wintergreen. I attempted to go down the green (beginner slopes) and managed twice with only 1 harsh wipe out. ( all others i purposely sat back/landed on my butt to stop) That was my sign to sign up for lessons. I paid for private lessons so i had 1 on 1 training. Connor was a freaking saint and showed me how to slow and stop within 2 runs. He was super patient and encouraging. Never once acted like i was a bother. Anytime i had to stop for a break due to a bum knee or asthma, he took it with a stride. During breaks he would point out forms of other snowboarders and tips. Highly recommend him as an instructor. Thanks again Connor!"

"The lessons were a complete joke. If you know how to ski the resort is good. But don't put your money for the lessons. The instructor didn't even bothered to teach how to brake or turn. Infact regular people who were skiing there were more helpful."

"Went snowboarding here and was disappointed by the disorganized and long waits, made for a poor experience. Took over 1.5 hrs to get rentals, the process was confusing and not clear which line you had to get in first to complete the process. Finally once we got on the slopes the ski lifts lines were 25+ min waits. Completely unacceptable, ruined the experience. Ski for 5 mins down the hill and wait 25 mins to get back up. They oversold the number of tickets/had an inefficient process for getting people on lifts. Will be snowboarding elsewhere in the future"

"Trying to get lessons reserved here has been impossible. I called towards the beginning of the season (November 2021) to verify they offer group lessons since there was no way to reserve a spot online, which they confirmed they did but it was on a first come, first serve basis. Fast forward to February and their extremely confusing website and automated phone systems (they no longer answer phone calls) provide conflicting information as well as no way to get in touch with a real person! I have tried calling, submitting their Google Form private lesson request, and emailing and no one has gotten back to me in over a week. Now, this ski trip I had planned since November is probably going to be a bust this month since no one in my group has ever skied before and we can't even reserve a lesson. If you don't know how to ski or just feel like you need a refresher lesson, I would not recommend this resort. Their communication is terrible/non-existent."
