"I booked an hour-long toddler session for $50, where my daughter would get to groom and ride a pony. The trainer was great, and the pony was well-behaved. My daughter is two years old and this was her first time riding a pony. She even started to post after seeing older children doing it. During our session, the owner pulled the trainer aside and then approached us to inform us our session time was going to end 25% early. She told us there was a private session, and she was reducing our session time. We did not receive a refund, nor were we offered to return later for a reduced price. She then began to work in the area where we were having our session. We could not enjoy our remaining time as we felt we were in the way. It was off-putting. It made us feel as if we were an inconvenience and unwelcome."
"My daughter has been riding here for a few years and has learned so much. Wonderful instructor Lucia."
"I donβt even know by what to start, Stonelea farm is more than an amazing place, it is a family. Mrs Lucia is a great instructor who is very picky about the technique, the safety, the discipline of her students but she is also so closed to them, she gives them the chance to get involved in the barn with the horses, shows,... My daughter changed so much positively since she started her classes with Mrs Lucia, she became a teenager full of confidence (she was very shy before starting), she is so well in her skin, in her mind, she became responsible, disciplined and of course passionated about the horses. She is starting her 2nd year at Stonelea Farm, the progresses are phenomenal and in a very short period I saw my daughter riding, doing the canter,... She enjoys so much being at the farm that she spends her Saturdays at the farm with the other girls, they became friends, they get breakfast together, they see outside each other,... It is just so AMAZING. The horses are also soooo happy and spoiled by the love of Mrs Lucia and the students. Very beautiful to see, I also really enjoy spending time over there too. Thank you Mrs Lucia for everything, I am so happy to have my daughter part of the Stonelea team."
"My sister and I needed a quick refresher for a horseback riding excursion we're doing in Iceland in a few weeks. It had been a decade since either of us had ridden, and we contacted Lucia to schedule a semi-private lesson. She was extremely accommodating with working around our busy schedules, and we were able to fit in a lesson this morning before work. It was phenomenal. From grooming and tacking up the horses to our time in the ring, Lucia and Rachel offered exactly the instruction we needed and the experience we were looking for. They immediately recognized our rusty points, and they were great at helping us correct them. The horses were wonderful, and everyone at the stable was friendly--we had a blast!"
"My daughter has been riding at Stonelea farms for the past 6 months and she loves it! Lucia is very patient and takes great care of her horses. I wish we lived closer so we could be more involved at the barn. Even though we live in Arlington it is well worth the ride. If you are looking for a laid back comfortable environment to learn to ride this is the place to go!!"
