"My rating is based on dealing with the administrators at this school. Their careers obviously are higher priority and come ahead of students and their education. They, especially the head are very charming, educated but sly as a fox and there is a network here of covering up lies. I recommend any important communication you need to have, let it be in writing. Also, do not trust that they know what they are talking about or they are being honest. Know the laws, know your rights and advocate for your child because the administration certainly won't. - That being said, our experience with teachers so far has been good. I will update this rating when nessecary to."
"The campus is a thing of beauty. You can tell what the main focus is by the design and that is sports. The place has more gyms than any other school I’ve seen. From my observation the emphasis is on sports and on SOLs. They have some good teachers. I disagree however with the other review. Major Warner is no Mr. Bell ex principal of C H Ritchie, who knew each student. The staff of Kettle Run for the most part are nice people. As the other reviewer stated there is no signal what so ever at Kettle Run. The signal is blocked on purpose, which has me concerned for the safety of the kids attending. This goes along with the type of atmosphere that has been created there. It is a very controlled environment which has raised some concerns about civil liberties infringements. The question is it a good school? As far as the other high schools in the county it ranks 3rd. Would I recommend this high school? No I would recommend not sending your child here. Kettle Run is soon to be over populated due to the growth of brookside and the lack of foresight by those in charge of the school system. So redistricting is on the horizon. I would recommend if available to have your child go to a private school rather than attend a Fauquier County High School."
