"Please do not waste your time or money here. After spending 3 years, 7 months, and thousands of dollars here, our time with Cho's Black Belt Academy came to a very sour and unfortunate end. My son decided that he wanted to give football a try. Since practices are 4 days a week for football, I did not see the point in us continuing with taekwondo. After informing Master Cho that we were leaving, his attitude towards us completely changed. He began accusing my husband of owing him over $1,000 and claiming that he had not paid for months. My husband finally had to bring in his monthly statements to prove to Master Cho that he had in fact paid all of the money that he was accusing us of not paying. Not only were we up-to-date on payments, but my husband also showed Master Cho where he had made an unauthorized charge on my husbands credit card, so therefore we had actually overpaid. This conversation took place on what was supposed to be belt ceremony night. My son had finally earned his black belt and was supposed to receive it in a ceremony that night. After my husband proved to Master Cho that we were not behind in payments, not only did Master Cho not offer any sort of apology for calling my husband a liar, but he then proceeded to walk out of the office to a room full of waiting students (including my son), called my son up, instructed him to take off his belt, handed him his new black belt, told him to put it on himself (usually at the belt ceremony Master Cho puts the new belts on the kids), handed him his certificate, and turned his back to him and told him he was done. So basically once we decided we were done and our money wasn't going to be coming in anymore, we, most importantly my son, no longer mattered to Master Cho. What's even worse is that he teaches the children to control their temper, "never anger" is one of the things that they have to recite at the end of class, and he clearly can't control his own temper. The saddest part of the entire situation is that my son adored Master Cho and for years only wanted for him to be proud of him, only for Master Cho to disrespect him like that at his black belt ceremony. The final straw was a couple weeks after all this happened my husband sent Master Cho a text message and told him that the way he treated our son wasn't right. Again, Master Cho didn't even have the decency to respond to my husband's message. Master Cho clearly does not care about his customers and only cares about the money. Once the money stops coming in, he will turn his back on you."
"Pricing depends on how "good" (well behaved) your child is. I guess if your looking for a class to deal with anger management and discipline this would be the place. 289-229 a month pricing was lower for how well behaved child is. Classes were just when you want to come not structured. Not what we were looking for. Mr. Cho got very upset when I told him we had another place to visit before we decided on signing up."
"I have had no one show more care for my son and myself. It's a big deal to me.. I feel as that I have been brought into a family. Good stuff"
"Supreme Grand Master Cho is by far the best Taekwondo instructor I've ever seen. He cares so much for his students and wants nothing more than to see them succeed."
