"Ive used this place for years to cash checks without any hesitation and they do normally have to make a copy of the ID and check which is fine but the last time I went in the guy running the western union window tried taking a picture of my ID with his personal cell phone which I quickly said I wasnt ok with. This is a huge red flag to me when it comes to fraud and my personal information being secure. Right after I said I didnt approve of him taking the picture but would allow him to make a copy like they have every other time, the guy immediately handed me my check back and said well go somewhere else then. I did call western union while still in the store and they said nobody should ever require you to allow them to take a picture of your ID on their phone and that they would be looking into it. Im sure plenty of people have had no issues with check cashing just as I hadnt up until that point but it only takes one cashier wanting to take advantage of someone to have your life pretty messed up overnight. If you have no other choice then yes Id say go for it but please beware of what happens with your Identification and any personal information at this store."
