"My family and I have tasted several pies and cakes from A la Mode Pies over the last few years, and they are consistently FANTASTIC! The customer service is also outstanding, especially if you are in a time crunch. Most recently, we ordered a German chocolate cake on New Year's Eve with 2 hours' notice because I forgot to place the order. They were amazingly gracious when they called to say they may need an additional hour, but in the end, they had it ready right on time. It was our first time trying the German chocolate cake, and it topped an old family recipe -- so delicious!! We ended up ordering another one just a couple days later for other family members. We've lived in NOVA for 20+ years, and A la Mode Pies hands-down gets our vote for best pies and cakes in the area. We are excited to continue discovering everything on their menu and highly recommend them!"

"I think they should just call this place A la mode Pies, because I stopped here with my daughter for ice cream, and they only had four flavors, and chocolate wasn't one off them. All of the other reviews raved about the pies, which did look amazing, but none of them mentioned the ice cream or lack thereof, so I thought at least one review should. If you're looking for ice cream in the Gainesville/Haymarket area, this may not be the place for you."

"update: just ordered a pecan pie, was told it was made yesterday and it wasn’t what i was expecting...crust seemed raw and the inside was really liquid. It still tastes really good, don’t get me wrong... Ordered a pecan, banana cream and lemon meringue. Seriously all so good, probably best pecan and banana cream pie i’ve ever tasted. Love that they have an option to ask them to bake you a fresh pie/slice"
