"I'd you want quiet and excluded. This is good. If you want a nice park to with facilities. Not your place. On a positive side it may not be a bad place to park for access to the river trail. But it seems private property is mostly around this place. So it is hard to know where the park ends and Begins"

"It’s a dirt parking lot hidden deep in a residential area with easy access to the Fairfax Cross County Trail. It’s more of a one-lane loop with not a lot of space, but I think it’s not too popular so you will have a good chance at getting a spot. Pass the entrance sign to Gabrielson Gardens Park for about 1/8 of a mile - just over the bridge - and turn sharp right or left to catch the Cross County Trail. If you pass the horse obstacle course you’ve missed it. The trail pretty much follows Difficult Run north and south for a bit. Last Saturday I went south. It jumps off at Miller Road, where it goes behind Oak Marr Rec Center to continue on Jermantown Road."

"Sadly, Gabrielson Gardens Park is home of the “poop trail”, where some people do not clean up after their dogs. Also a lot of people don’t have their dogs on a leach, there is a construction of a bridge right now, there is a lot of trash everywhere near to the construction site."
