"I am the spouse of Calvin Berry, writing this review with Mr Berry dictating verbally what to say due to Mr Berry being unable to read/write. Mr Berry started with this agency 2014 SR22 and 2017 FR44. Mr Berry has been paying on time a premium that has been continuous to this year 2023. Mr Berry had no idea both SR22 and FR44 had ended 2020 and had continued to pay premiums. Mr Berry's spouse inquired as to how long was he to pay in which he said he didn't know. Further investigating through DMV noted that his obligation ended in 2020 in which this insurance agency was notified. Mr Berry was told that there was nothing they could do and no refund would be issued because he should have kept up with it himself. Mr Berry had been told approx 4yrs ago to go to DMV and get paperwork that would state how much longer he had to keep policy, in which he did and turned it over to agency, however, renewal policies continued to come. Further inquirers with this agency has been with "there's nothing we can do and you will not get a refund". Now speaking in my own words, I Portia Berry implore people to ask questions, keep paperwork and have someone explain paperwork and policies if you do not understand. Seniors are especially vulnerable. Mr Berry is 72yrs old on a fixed income. Considerations should be made and an attempt to refund him at least partial or all over payments for the past 3yrs should be considered. Dairyland insurance has been contacted and all other avenues will be explored. Stating you should have kept up with it yourself is not a professional practice. This month's payment was made in which agency had been notified, however, the amount payment for this month was not refunded. Ask questions and ask for copies of all paperwork from this agency. In the end, as long as the premiums kept going out, all was good and now, hang ups while you are in mid sentence....Take care of the seniors, advocate for them."
