"I was told I had coverage until I found out I didn't. I carried insurance on all of my trailers, seperate from the towing vehicle. Started using this trailer for more storage than anything, and specifically asked if I dropped it's coverage, would my homeowners cover it for any damages it might take while parked at my residence, say like if a tree fell on it. I worded it that way specifically because I have a lot of trees surrounding my house and really couldn't forsee anything else damaging it beyond what I could fix on my own. I was assured it would. Well, I found out that coverage only applies when it suits them (Allstate). Anyone reckon my neighbors tree might have caused said damages? Reached out to my agent (Coons) and I didn't get a response, went by the office and they had moved, with new location not disclosed. Since I can't seem to get in touch with anyone, and what I was told was a lie, you may see why I rated it as I did. I had to rate one star in order to post, otherwise they wouldn't get anything, much like what I received from them. Oh, they were willing to give me $200, after I paid the deductible, and they take the trailer. Hundreds of dollars a month for insurance, I've never filed a claim in my life until now, I figured with said damages, all in all, $6200 would have taken care of what I lost from this storm, and all they were willing to do was scam another $300 from me (payout minus the deductible e.g. I give them $500 and they give me back $200). LIVID!!!"

"A deer had hit my car back at the beginning of November. I took it to the shop and submitted my claim. Allstate provided me with a rental car from Enterprise and I was off. Two weeks later I called the shop to see what the status was in the vehicle. They told me they had not heard from Allstate about a statement. They called and were told my claim was sitting in a person's box that has been out of the office for the past month. They would move it to someone else. That person called us and said they could try to look into it but they were leaving for vacation the next day. So they sent it to another person who did not make any kind of contact for a week. I received a call from Enterprise stating that my rental was out and I would be charged $61 a day till I took back the car. I called Allstate and informed them of this. They said they thought someone had submitted the statement a week ago. They looked into it and found that the person that was supposed to come out to look at the car never did. So, the person handling my claim at the time said they would call Enterprise and extend the rental because they had not upheld their side. I checked my bank account the next day and had been charged $61. Now, with it being Thanksgiving weekend, everyone was closed, so there was no way to get Allstate to extend the rental. Everyday I watched more money come out of my account until, finally, on that following Thursday, a week later, I get a phone call saying Allstate will call and extend the rental....$500 out of my account...and they were going to now contact them to extend the rental. The auto shop called me and said they finally received a statement and my car will be ready in three days. I've spent a month in a rental, paying more and more money, and waiting. All for a simple three day fix... This has been the worst experience I have ever had, I don't understand how any of this was a problem."
