"Husband ordered flounder grilled with lemon butter, mashed potatoes and salad. I ordered white fish grilled with lemon pepper, baked sweet potato, mixed vegetables and salad. I found it offensive to see the wait staff sitting in the first two booths, talking amongst themselves when drinks needed to be filled. The food arrived hot and the roll was good."
"I very much want local small businesses to succeed and be prosperous. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I do believe in honest feedback for the benefit of potential customers and for the business to improve. Went for lunch on a Tuesday at 1:00 PM. Waited a long time to get a menu, and another long time for the waitress to take our order. Our waitress was inattentive and very slow. After another server finally brought us menus, our waitress finally took our order after being asked to by the other waitress. She took the order and dropped off the food, which was the only times we saw her. We both had fried Alaskan whitefish, she thought the slaw and the $9.99 price were both good. My fish and onion rings were lukewarm and dry, like heat lamp food, only the fried green tomatoes were hot, crisp, and freshly fried. I was supposed to get hush puppies, but they were missing. I tried one of my partner's and it was great. If everything had been served hot and fresh from the fryer, the food would have gotten 5 stars instead of 3. It's really important that a restaurant that specializes in fried food (or even serves anything fried) serve it hot, fresh, and crispy from the fryer. Heat lamps or fried foods sitting around aging before being served is a very poor way to do business. I may try it again for something different, but it won't be my go-to for fried fish. Too bad, I was hoping it would."
"My family met drove from an hour each way to meet up for an early birthday dinner. It wasn't pricey... Meatloaf was a compressed slab of meat, not meatloaf. The sweet potato was, well we're not sure what it was, but it looked liked something you'd pickup with a plastic bag while walking your dog. The green beans were simmered in something odd, like the smell of Lysol summer breeze scent, the taste was the same, ick! My youngest granddaughter had a shrimp salad that had some tiny pale jiggly things that were supposed to be shrimp. They were right up there with the sweet potato and green beans. My son had a an extra huge seafood platter of battered dipped and fried everything to the point you couldn't tell what anything was and it all just tasted.... well, fried. My oldest granddaughter and her boyfriend both had chicken tenders, fries, potato salad, they said it was good. Then later as we were still eating the waitress came over and asked if we could hurry up because there was another large party that needed our table as we had the only large table. Unbelievable! Happy Birthday to me! Now pay the bill and get the hell out! Probably not coming back again."
"Enjoy eating here. Fun atmosphere with friendly servers. Great fried foods! Love getting a "Two Item Combo" with Whitefish and Popcorn Shrimp. Good fried green tomatoes and really good onion rings. We're looking forward to having catfish next time! 2nd Vista was good as the first! Judy was sweet and efficient. Catfish, hush puppies, popcorn shrimp. Creamy coleslaw and good old-fashioned tater salad. Good sweet tea."
"We enjoyed everything we got! Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Clean and family friendly. Good sized portions for a decent price. Worth a stop."
