"Customer service sucks! I go to customer service to cash a check, didn’t get her name (older white woman kinda heavy set with missing teeth) but she comes up and just stood there and reaches her hand out for the check, like damn no Hi, how can I help you? How’s your day going? Nothing! And when it came time for her needing a signature for the check you think she said anything? Nope! (Didn’t say anything the whole time), Just gonna slide the check along with a pen to me. So I signed it sat the pen down along with the check and slid it back to her. But that’s not the only thing lacking at this food lion, I rarely go to this location Unless I really need to. But food lion get it together! Teach your employees to be friendly & have some type of customer service!"

"Loved it. This Food Lion has been in operation many, many years at this location, and my favorite in the area. It's got everything you'd expect at a Food Lion store, friendly and helpfull staff, reasonably well maintained and stocked. The entrances to/from Birdneck and Virginia Beach Blvd are very easy to navigate. The parking lot is easy to navigate, plenty of parking spaces, and plenty of handicap parking spaces and the store is handicap accessible as well. Highly recommended."

"Friendly staff! Love the folks in the deli. They are all awesome. The cashiers are fantastic. They always make sure my bags are light and easy for me to carry."

"If you have any other option - I probably wouldn't recommend this Food Lion but it's fine if you only need a few things or if you are in the area and essentials are needed for a quick stop. It's kind'a dingy and seedy but they have all the items in-stock you'd need and we tend to stop here a few times a month to get milk or cheese or something we need for family dinner night. It's fine for a quick run - but Iunder no circumstances would I ever come here alone after dark. There are homeless and other shady types lurking around in the parking lot every time I come."
