"I will be finding a new shop due to Lee’s biases against after my minor child on 6.15. I had been a customer of this salon for over 6 years while living in the neighboring community. I never thought the salon did great work or had great service but I liked that the shop was at a very convenient location. In the past 2-3 years, I started bringing my daughter with me to have her toes and nails polished. She is 10 now. Every visit the price would significantly increase. Mind you they continuously asked her age and made comments about her being tall and appearing older than her age. On 6.15, I had to call the salon owner Lee and his workers out on their BIASES against black children. I was agreeable to pay $25 for a child’s pedicure because this was Ming’s original quote. However, when asking Rose to add Gel polish to speed up the service she quoted me $45 and then Lee came behind her stated that it would be $48. Mind you I paid $48 for a pedicure for myself on this same day. Whenever I asked Lee what are child age limits, Lee responded that it is based on foot size. Now, my kid wears a kid shoe size of 5 but so do I. I expressed that this made no sense and that I felt as though they are exploiting their customers.This worries me almost considering that the salon is in a predominantly black neighborhood. This also worries me because historically we have seen how biases towards Black people from Asian(like) communities are harmful and offensive. Lee continued to remind as I am walking out the door that next time she will be full price and I calmly but gladly let him know that there will be no next time."

"The picture should explain the rating. I have blood with nail polish on top of it now. Paint in the nail bed and it's uneven in spots. To fix the paint globbing on one side of my thumb, he just shaved away the nail. On the positive side, they were able to fit me in immediately and it's fair priced. The gentleman at the front was very nice."
