Hampton Inn Winchester-University/Mall Area 640 East Jubal Early Drive, Winchester, VA 22601

"This is my 4th time staying at this hotel when I come back from a trip up north. I like the convenience of how close it is off of I-81. There is a Starbucks you can walk to from the hotel even though they have coffee at the hotel. There is a microwave by the front desk that you can use to warm food up along with paper plates and utensils. This trip the room as always, was clean, comfortable and quiet. My only issue as I have found with some hilton chains is the overwhelming smell of cleaning product. I have such a sensitivity to it that it hit me when I first walkes it in. I normally turn the cool air on to get the air flowing. Less is better than more. There was a refrigerator in the room. Otherwise reception is always welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is your typical conventional hotel chain breakfast which is sufficient enough to fill you. Price was reasonable this time around. Parking is never an issue as there are enough spaces."

"What a dump, and the rudest staff. The older blonde at the front desk stared me down the entire time I was checking in as if my mere existence was offensive to her. Hate to imagine how they’d treat me if I wasn’t a diamond member! The hotel is not well maintained and my room smells like my grandmother’s closet. If you’re ever in the area and need somewhere to stay, go anywhere else."

"Room 430 Mold growing in the bathroom above the toilet and around the ceiling must be have a moisture issues. The sheets on the bed had brown stains on them. There was a baking soda pouch in the refrigerator i guess to help with the smell. Dead bugs in the corners or the room. Cobwebs all over the room. Will never stay there again being a Hilton silver member this was very disappointing."

"Hampton always delivers. It must be an older property, the room I had was smaller than most Hamptons but immaculate, well maintained and comfortable. I made my reservation for the wrong day, but Victoria and Terri were very polite, professional and helpful. They exceeded the very high standards I've come to expect from staying with Hampton all over the USA. The breakfast was excellent as usual at Hampton. The free wifi was great. When I can choose a Hampton, it's always my first choice"
