Reviews of C.R. England Yard
"Dude no. So I was an Iron worker making 24 dollars an hour. I came here because of all these promises etc. Well long story short, this is horrible. They are awful at communicating and often tell you 3-4 different things without conferring with each other. They will tell you they have a load and at the last minute take it away without saying anything and have you sitting for days. They will say they have plenty of work but you will end up sitting for 2-3 days. They do not take care of you or value you. You are just an employee that gets them money. They don't care if you are sick they will try to bully you into working. I had covid and they tried to forc we me to work when I couldn't even get up. This company is not BBB accredited either. Big red flag for that."
"Most stressful job I've ever had.Been working here for a little over two years and they’ve never properly communicated anything. I had to find out through the grapevine that drayage was in jeopardy. They didn’t speak on it until we asked them about it. Matter of fact, For the past two years around this time drayage has been on the verge of getting cut off. I came into work just to find out that I had no folder where our work for the day usually goes. No one called or texted or emailed me. It’s a joke here. No higher ups care about any type of issues we come to them about. They lie and cut corners anywhere they can. It’s not about the drivers here. They like to say that it is but no. I would not recommend working here if you want some type of peace of mind and job stability. The pay is the lowest of many. Just to back up the guy(Caleb) under this review they hired him here and trained him and on the last day told him they didn’t have a position because they weren’t supposed to hire anyone for this fleet. Just to show you how messed up they can be. They also got busy at some point hired like 20 extra drivers(it was only five of us at first) had them work for a while. They ended up dropping all of them didn’t communicate anything and just tried to switch them all to another fleet that they barely had work for and changed their pay form hourly to by the mile so they made little to nothing because there was no work. Making it so they had to quit because they didn’t want to lay them off and have to pay unemployment. Save yourself some nerves and time. Find another company in the area because this one isn’t it."
"Terrible company. I was hired for a position, after on boarding and training with a mentor they tried to persuade me into another position that was not the hours and pay I was hired for. Poor values from a nationwide company. I will make sure to tell everyone I know in the trucking industry to stay far away."
"Bad place too go to school or work. I went here for school and went on a truck for one load and was almost killed. They don’t care about their drivers at all. The only reason they even have good reviews is because once students finish school they give the a fee meal for writing a good review stay away from this place"
"Had a conversation with Laurie Laurens about attending a refresher course and employment with this company. She is a very self righteous person and prone to valuing her own opinion over the truth. If you happen to have the displeasure of conversing her ask to speak with someone else."
