Preston Library

Preston Library is located at 411 Letcher Avenue in Lexington, Virginia, United States. This institution is a library associated with the Virginia Military Institute (VMI), a historic military college known for producing leaders of integrity and honor since 1839. VMI offers a unique undergraduate experience with a challenging core curriculum and nationally recognized majors in engineering, sciences, and humanities. The Institute also has a strong Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program and emphasizes the development of the whole person through athletics and academics. The VMI community is deeply connected to its alumni and the surrounding Lexington community, offering opportunities for public support and engagement. The VMI Museum recently opened a new exhibit on Gen. George C. Marshall, a distinguished alum. With small class sizes, academically rigorous programs, Division I athletics, and a large ROTC program, VMI is ranked highly for its return on investment and liberal arts education.
