"We just had some windows and doors delivered to our property. The driveway is a mess since its been so rainy and isn't paved yet. The deliverers drove the truck all the way up the steep slippery driveway and brought the doors and windows into the house so they didn't get wet! They also laid cardboard down so they didn't track red clay all over the house. I could kiss them! Thanks y'all!"
"Do not recommend! Lots of substandard product and lax safety standards for the low paid staff. Uses outdated technology and often poorly informed computer systems. Salespeople don’t even know what’s in stock half the time, when inventories are low you can be assured the material is practically useless. The labor is a revolving door of poorly paid and trained men of color although the same diversity is conspicuously absent from any upper management or sales positions that I am aware of in the entire organization. Communication between various aspects of the business seems to be problematic. Returns for poor material is common, safety standards are lax. Materials are often out of stock or on order and unavailable. I’ve observed multiple violations of OSHA standards over time spent there as well."
"Worked here almost a year before I was unceremoniously dismissed for requesting off a week over the holidays to visit my 95 year old grandmother. No warnings, zero notice, no severance and coincidentally I was dismissed after mentioning OSHA compliance issues. I live 5 min from the place and am fork certified, always prompt and followed proper procedures to request off. The management spends all day running a different company and half the time isn’t even present which in adddition is probably an OSHA violation as the site is unsupervised. Basically they are willing to bend or break rules in the name of profit and have 0 respect for their workers. Customers are similarly provided with polite interaction and poor quality follow thru. Complaints are rampant and mistakes occur frequently but the systems that create the problems are rarely if ever rectified. Poorly managed and it leads to even worse retention of good staff. Stay far far away and tell your friends and family to avoid this business it is built on the same exploitation of labor, flouting of decent norms, and poorly executed order fulfillment that others have experienced. Check Glassdoor for more horror stories from former employees."
"Be aware of qualifications of Better Living contractors. They will not stand by the quality of work and will not address any issues. They may have a great showroom but for installation services you are on your own."
"I would give this a zero if possible. Spent almost a $1000 on a door with better living. While they are making the sale and taking your money, they are great. When having to stand behind something. they’ve sold or correct an issue with something wrong on their end, they will simply blame you or your contractor for the issue at hand. I finally got them to send someone out from the company thAt made the door and it was quickly the same thing, “blame the homeowner and contractor” instead of owning up to a poorly made product. The door was poorly installed by the company better living sent out called REEB which made the door. The door had to come back out for a third time to be re-installed after they left. I’m Bow left with a cosmetically awful looking door and likely a security issue now accessing my house as the door still doesn’t sit right."
