"Great little custom framing and stained glass art studio. Owner, Lisa, is very knowledgeable about her craft - and very helpful in making good recommendations for how to accomplish your vision for your project. A perfect example of how businesses used to be run - by craftspeople and artisans that knew their trade and did business with you face-to-face and treated you like you matter. I have no experience with Lisa's stained glass studio, but the space is filled with patterns, frames, and glass formulas for to create almost any shape and/or color for your glass project. Looks like everything anyone would need to do a cool stained glass piece. I came in with some vintage (40+ year old) movie posters that have been rolled up for the past 30 years. I had a wall selected and measured for where I wanted them and a vague idea about what colors and materials might work - I brought everything in and talked it through with Lisa and she helped me pick exactly the right materials. She had great ideas about how to treat the edges of the pieces so the "age" of the pieces wasn't lost behind the modern frames. She also kept me realistic on size, so I didn't overpower the space I had. Lisa also has a grasp on what's happening in her industry, with regards to supply and availability limitations, so she steered me to the materials she knows she can get affordably, and in a realistic amount of time. The cost was very reasonable, given the personal and professional attention from Lisa, as well as the quality of the materials she uses. It was not as cheap as going to one of the large craft stores and framing things yourself - but then again, I also didn't do anything but talk with Lisa for a half hour. She, very professionally, did everything else, and she only took 2 weeks to get it all done. I could not be happier with the quality of my new vintage movie poster display. If you're anywhere near Staunton and need custom framing done (or if you're into stained glass), I would highly recommend L & L. Ask for Lisa."
