"Another place that can't help new patients despite astronomical rates."
"I have debilitating anxiety and depression resulting from childhood trauma, and I had counseling from Dr. Randy Weber as a child. I decided to go back to him for that reason since he was already familiar with me and my situation. I called due to a mental breakdown I had at work and wanted to come in right away. Dr. Weber did offer to see me that day; however, I was very disappointed with how everything played out this time around. The first thing that he said was, "Hi. It's been a long time. Do you have insurance? Do you happen to have the card with you so I can make a copy?" I understand that people need money in order to make a living, but you can't even ask, "Hi. How are you?" and let me respond to that question before talking about the money? That just made me feel as if I was only important to him so long as I had insurance and could ensure he would get paid. This is supposed to be a Christian environment. Am I wrong? What ever happened to genuinely caring about PEOPLE and putting money second? Once in the room with Dr. Randy Weber, I unloaded about everything that was going on in my life, but the only thing I could think about the whole time I was in there was whether or not he would even be sitting there listening to me if I had said I didn't have insurance or didn't have much money. I did have another appointment scheduled, but after thinking it over more, I cancelled that and will not be returning for any future appointments. I am so disappointed."
"Dr. Weber listens, understands and helps me gain a better understanding of myself. She's very compassionate, but is not coddler. If you want someone to just sit and listen and not challenge you, then she's not the counselor for you. If you want someone who will work with you to help you learn a lot about yourself and get to the root of the issues that prompted you to go to counseling, she's the right counselor for you. She will help you grow and become the confident, well-adjusted person you can be!"
"I saw Rhonda here, and at first, I thought she was really going to help me. But after a few sessions, I started to feel like all she cared about was the money. I have issues with my parents and my childhood, and would often discuss this with her. She was very helpful at first, but one session, she cut me off and said something rude like, "I want to stop you before we wind up talking about your mother all session again." (Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know it was up to you what we discussed.) She seemed to act like she knew better than me about my problems. She was very judgemental and rude. She acted like she cared until I didn't have insurance. I called trying to ask for her help with a simple letter, and I couldn't even get to talk to her, just her secretary (who was always very kind) and couldn't even get a call back. I had to call her back...only to get her secretary again to tell me Rhonda wouldn't help me unless I came in for an appointment. I told her I was uninsured and had no money, that I was hoping she could just help me because I needed help and she was my last therapist....she said she'd have her call me back the next day after talking to her. A week passed, and no call. So I called and her secretary told me that she wouldn't help without an appointment. I was currently homeless, with no insurance. How could I afford an 80 dollar visit? I understand this is her job, but she seems to just be in it for the money. Patients = Paychecks, I guess. A good therapist/psychologist/psychiatrist isn't just in it for the money...they want to help people. I've had therapists help me for free. And I couldn't even talk to Rhonda without paying. Ridiculous."
"Awful. Ronda Weber cares little for people of minority lifestyles or beliefs. Every visit she diagnosed me with a very different and very serious mental conditions. Do not take your child here or go yourself unless you're comfortable with closeminded and bigoted professionals."
