"This place has changed in all the worst ways since they bought Ice Plex. 1. Rude employee doesn’t like teens being excited and making happy sounds. Not screaming, but they act like it’s a library and a “place of peace”. 2. Decor is lame. No arcade, no concessions other than vending. 3. Prices do not reflect what you are NOT getting out of a trip here. 4. The place feels hostile now, not the fun activity my daughters used to enjoy. So SAD! Hope they get a clue and make it better. Cutting costs is going to make them lose business."
"It has been a year or two since we have been there. The girls at the front desk looked like they hated their job. FYI your customers should not know that. Your website states 12-3:15, but at 2 it closed for hockey. We entered at 12:30. Nothing was said. Paid $15 for 1.5 hrs. Bathrooms were disgusting. My daughters wanted to leave and go somewhere else to use the bathroom. When asked about skating being til 315 (at 2 when they closed) she says no it’s til 2. I said even though your website says til 315? She says yes with a smirk smile. Like she was glad it was over. No one said anything when we first got there. As expensive as every activity you do nowadays is, it would have been nice for someone to let you know the website doesn’t match their hours. I would have even settled with “I’m so sorry the website is incorrect, we will get that fixed.” But nothing. We left and the girls at the desk we off in their own world. Would not recommend. Would not go back."
"At this time you have to enter through the back entrance where the outside snow pile is and cannot go through the front due to remodeling. The prices have increased by $15 per person regardless if you have skates or not. The new paint job and insulation make the skating rink much more inviting and holds the cold better. This rink is going to be awesome when it is finished. Can't wait to start Adult hockey in the fall. Even if you can barely skate be a part of the ice hockey community on the peninsula will meet some truly amazing people."
"It's a decent sheet. Tight locker rooms n small spectator area as well. No score sheet for the team either so anyone can play on any team. No structure for the league. Levan I'd the head ref and he is the worse ref ever n got banned from reffing at iceland and Chesapeake chilled ponds. No organization at all. Rules don't matter n change per rink. Dumbest league is at Yorktown no doubt."
