"This place really does not care about the attendees at all, they only want people to come in and buy their overpriced drinks and water, they charge $4.50 for water in a can and won’t give u a cup of water if you ask. They don’t care if people are dehydrated and falling out from exhaustion. Security is extremely strict and rude for no reason at all. I know people who have blood sugar issues and they have been kicked out for bringing in sealed juice or snacks to keep their levels stable. They think that anybody who isn’t buying their food or drinks is a waste of space and don’t even want them there. It is all about maximizing profits for them and it shows. I’ve seen multiple people faint from dehydration and the security will kick them out even though it’s the venues fault for it. The security isn’t there to keep people safe, I have seen many creeps that are harassing women and when security is notified they do nothing because these are the people they cater to because they are buying drinks. The sound system and bathrooms are terrible and it’s obvious that they do the bare minimum to cut costs and maximize their profits."
"i come to peabodys for events on a pretty regular basis but as of lately i will only come for an event that i cannot miss. the security there does not care about the well-being of people who come there on a regular basis and it is very clear they only care about selling drinks. me as well as my friends have had negative experiences with security trying to kick people out who were clearly not causing a problem. this happened to me once as i was feeling unwell due to new meds i was on and they tried to kick me out for throwing up in the restroom one time when i was clearly very much sober. they then basically field sobriety tested me in the middle of the venue and it was quite embarrassing, but once it was made clear i was obviously sober they let me stay. they also tried to kick a friend of mine out for having juice because he is hypoglycemic. peabodys also does not give out free water and the only option is a $4.50 can of liquid death. my main problem with peabodys is the fact that compared to the tough security i described earlier, they turn the other way when it comes to people who wander in off the oceanfront already intoxicated, who often then cause problems on the dance floor. i have been shoved to the ground, hit, and groped by men at peabodys and have told security and they do not remove these people, which i suspect is because they are buying drink after drink from the bar. all my friends have had similar problems. i recommend not going to peabodys alone especially if you’re a woman. it’s a shame most good edm events in VB go to peabodys because it has a grimy vibe and i often feel unsafe when i am there. the bottle girls and bartenders are always lovely though they get five stars"
"Had an amazing time! the bartenders & security were friendly & very helpful! 10/10 experience & it was my first time visiting !"
"Place is definitely not look inviting. Had to pay a entry fee. Couldn't order drinks music was too loud. Couldn't even hear myself talk. More like a rave than a nightclub. Only open 3 nights a week I don't see how this place stays in business"
"All the staffs are nice and friendly. You can chat with them. I came here in their happy hour which you can get many drinks in 2.5 dollars per cup. The environment is good, I didn’t see anything dirty and the people here don’t do something bad. What you need to do is relax and dance, pretty nice! I forgot myself and think about nothing . Chatting with my old friends and new friends ,we all got happy here. I also like the dancing , everyone looks so excited haha ! Really enjoyed that, I would come here again when I try to relieve myself. I think it’s a not bad choice for everyone too!Enjoy!"
