"I decided to stop by as this used to be my favorite thrift store & I have great memories shopping here. I used to be able to find such great stuff at great prices & for a while now I have stopped visiting as the prices are utterly outrageous. It's just sad as the donations they get in are free & should be priced accordingly. Isn't the goal to sell the donations & not just let the stuff sit? The prices of the jewelry just saddened me because the asking price was far from reasonable & couldn't help but think the prices are set high to take advantage of people this holiday season."
"Nice items, but overall store quite pricey... $15 for a men's shirt, $6 for a mug, old fur coats $275. The jewelry was sorely overpriced as well. Not sure what is happening, but the "thrift" is a misnomer. It's a more well-to-do area so they typically think their stuff is worth more. A shame since they get items for free. Just like Goodwill."
"Good variety of items at a good price. Check out needs some organization, but overall a good store doing good work."
"I have been shopping at Hope Thrift since it opened at Tuckahoe. Lately, I have been aghast at the price of the jewelry. It has become antique store priced! Today, I saw a vintage horse bridle ornament made into a brooch. Not silver. Not gold. It was priced at $98! The lady pricing the jewelry said it is half off. That is still $50! It should have started at $35-45 at the most! I will continue to shop at Bellmeade since pricing is more realistic!"
"Hope Thrift is my favorite thrift store in all of RVA -- both locations are amazing and I always leave with great finds for good prices. The book selection is incredible, the clothing is well curated and always in season, the home goods section is always full of great pieces, and it's so fun to browse. The team at Hope Thrift is always so kind, helpful, and welcoming -- truly a great place to shop that supports great causes near and far. Love it!"
