"We moved out to Northern Virginia from DC when our son was about 18 months old. He had been at a daycare center in DC that we loved, but with our new home, it didn't make sense to commute into the city any more for childcare. We found MBSA through our friends who had a daughter enrolled there and so we chose to enroll our son. We were understandably nervous about transitioning our son to to a new daycare at 18 months old (he started daycare at 4 months old and had become very familiar with his current daycare). Immediately from the get go, MBSA made us and our son feel welcomed and deeply cared for. They are incredibly communicative and provide a warm and fun environment to foster our son's development. He is now almost 2 and a half and loves going to daycare. He talks about his teachers and friends and all the activities he does with great fondness. We have seen his speech, motor skills, comprehension, and general development absolutely explode! Of course, every toddler goes through some level of separation anxiety and the staff and teachers at MBSA help ensure morning drop offs, even when they are tear filled, go smoothly. We will soon be enrolling our 4 month old daughter at MBSA and we look forward to continuing to entrust MBSA with the critically important care and development of our children!"

"As an educator myself I tend to be extra demanding. I have visited many preschools and was surprised by MBSA. I was impressed at how knowledgeable the Director and her Assistant Director were. Ms. Mina answered my 200 questions and did not seem bothered by all my concerns and inquiries, she was very professional and kind. The center is modern, with lots of windows and natural light and they invest so much into new learning materials consistently. I like the security in place and the protocols they use. Our son has been attending for the past two years. In these two years, he experienced so much growth, love, diversity, and culture that has shaped him into a confident, accepting, and eager-to-learn child. Our son struggled with some issues as some children do, and the teachers were so amazing, loving, and extremely patient with him. My Baby Steps Academy is more than a school. It has become like an extended family to us. The teachers do more than teach. They show children the fun, the loving, and the diverse part of education which builds a strong foundation for life for that child. The STEM curriculum they use is incredible when teaching the children. It allows them to be creative and to think outside of the box, while also posing a challenge. They do daily different labs and experiments and my son talks about it all evening. They also have Spanish Language as part of their curriculum which has been amazing. My son has learned so many new words. The application to communicate with teachers throughout the day gives me happiness and peace of mind, and the ability to get pictures and video updates throughout the day makes my day. As we transition to a new room, I am excited to see how my little one interacts with his new teachers and friends. We have been part of both locations (Ravensworth and now the LRT) and they both have been amazing experiences for our family. The staff is amazing and goes above and beyond with our family. Everyone interacts with my son and I. From the second we walk in, we’re greeted by everyone with hugs, They take time to ask how my son’s morning was, and how he is feeling & and make sure to encourage him to have an amazing day. I highly recommend and praise this center and wish they would continue this amazing experience and journey forever."

"My baby steps academy has provided and is still providing my child excellent early education. My son as shown such great progress developmentally. They treat the children with so much love and support. I highly recommend all parents send their children here. Also through the brightwheel app you are able to get updates and pictures of your children throughout the day and they inform you of all lesson plans that each classroom is focusing on, which is so cool!"

"My son has been attending MBSA for about 2 years and we are incredibly happy with his school experience. The staff is warm, kind and takes wonderful care of all the little ones. We get regular updates and photos via the app. The daily activities and creative and community focused. "I can't say enough good things about My Baby Steps! The teachers and staff of MBSA are like an extension of our family. My daughter has been going since she was four months old, for almost a year now. Every single day at drop off she's greeted with a huge smile and hug from her teachers and is happy and healthy at pickup. MBSA uses brightwheel for parent communications and sends us adorable photos every day, which is a huge benefit! The facilities are beautiful, age appropriate, and very clean. The staff is kind, communicative, and a joy to chat with during pickup and drop-off. Would recommend to anyone looking for quality, loving childcare. We love MBSA!"
