"Longstreet's seems to be more of a bar than a deli or restaurant. There's a full bar and an excellent beer selection. The staff was very friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The food we had was certainly three stars good and I liked the old corner bar atmosphere. I'll definitely return!"
"Bad choice. As my husband and I were in the mood to try a new restaurant, we ventured down to Longstreet’s Deli in downtown Peterburg. So far, we had good luck in this area, but I guess our luck ran out at Longstreet’s Deli. This eatery is not worth the money. The upside was that the restaurant looked charming, but that is where the comfort stopped. The waitress, who was apparently the server and bartender, was quite sharp-tongued and not friendly. After a couple of minutes of entering the establishment, my husband and I were told to have a seat anywhere. After a couple of minutes, the waitress came over with two menus, which listed food items only. After five minutes, the waitress reappeared and asked for our drink choices. I asked for a drink menu, which she explained they were out due to the drink menus being updated and reprinted. At which point, my husband asked her about the selection of draft beers, to which she sarcastically replied, “We have too many for me to name them to you, you can look on the wall. I’ll come back.” So now we sat another five minutes drinkless waiting out the end of happy hour. So essentially, we didn’t get the happy hour price that ended at 7:00pm. Eventually, we got our tall beers and then began anxiously anticipating our meal only to receive barely lukewarm food. At this point, I was steaming and just vowed to eat my poorly prepared meal and never come back. I have posted the pictures of the food to show. In one picture, you can see they only put enough cheese on the Sailor to cover one half of the sandwich. And as you can see from my husband’s plate, the pastrami sandwich was burnt, and the pastrami was rubbery. All I can say is save your hard-earned money, go to a place that has good service and well-prepared food."
"Beautiful place to have lunch. It was so nice to sit and eat with a view out of the window and the sun shining. The soup of the day was great and I could eat a whole basket of the sweet potato fries."
"Food was perfect, good atmosphere to sit and talk without it being too loud. Waitstaff was real attentive and made sure our table and others were taken care of. Didn't get drinks this time so can't comment on those but overall a good option downtown."
"$7 for a salad this size is insanity. Staff was unwilling to make it right. Hard pass on returning here. There are plenty of other great businesses in the area to get food next time."
