"Mid because the person with pink hair and glasses is lovely. Always kind, understanding and courteous but the last few odd encounters with they're staff partners hasn't been so pleasant. One with a rude girl before and now recently with a chick named Sierra who chimed into our convo where I was telling the other person, sorry I didn't get they're name but telling them I felt a bit crowded while trying to browse like they thought I might steal. I assured the pink headed person I was not and they understood and said it's fine and gave me space to browse but the other went off getting into our convo rather aggressively stating she's doing inventory and I said I wasn't talking to you. It went in for a bit with a rather unkind tone but she can kick rocks. Luckily I won't need to return to Sally's and definitely won't be going back to this one cuz of that Sierra girls attitude. Not cool chica - mind yo biz lol pls and thank you"
"I have been a long time customer of Sally Beauty and have no complaints about the customer service. However, on a recent visit to purchase coloring the only employee in the store, who appears to be new, started questioning me about how I color my hair. I told her and she began to tell me what I was doing wrong as my hair was three different colors. I graciously accepted her advice as what she said made sense. But she kept going on and on about my hair issue with "Look, you've got it light up here and then dark down here" and "If you were in a salon this wouldn't have happened" as if my particular hair was the worst she had ever seen. Well, the reason it was lighter on top is what happens when your color starts to fade; it starts at the top. It got to the point that I felt I was being berated instead of receiving helpful advice. Now, not to be judgmental, but this girl had "three" different colors in her hair - pink, blue and I think purple, nose rings and tattoos. I don't think she would have liked it if I had given her such a critiquing. It is her freedom to choose her style but she definitely needs to be more mindful of giving advice and not making the customer feel as if they look bad."
"I haven’t encountered such wonderful customer service in a long time. Payton in Salem is amazing and Sally’s is lucky to have her. I’m a local business owner and if I could steal her away I would. What a gem!"
"I went there for help after getting a weird substance from a lake in my hair. Employee, Michelle, was incredibly helpful. She listened closely to what my problem was and gave me great advice and recommendations on how to fix it. Michelle is definitely the one to go to for help at Sally's."
"I dig Sally's, they often have a ton of things that you may not be able to find else where. However, on this particular visit of my local Sally's Beauty Supply in Salem I didn't have such a wonderful experience. When I went into the store, the woman at the register was super polite, offered to help me find anything I needed, then she politely informed me that their China Glaze brand nail polish was on sale, buy one get one free. So, although only there for one polish, I purchased 3. Well, once up at the register to check out there was a different woman at the register, the other one was helping a customer. She rang up all 3 polishes, coming to something like 16 dollars... my wife paid and handed me the receipt... I saw the total and asked the woman about what the original cashier had said and stated that she had told me when we came in... she said no I dont think so. So, I asked her to check and she said I think it's a coupon you have to have... So, I just took my things and left. Then, after thinking about it, she could have easily taken the coupon from the add sitting on the counter next to her and apply it to my purchase and apologized for the confusion... instead, I left with 3 polishes I wouldn't have otherwise purchased and a bad taste in my mouth. Sad."
