"It was a pleasure to have Janet cut and style my hair recently in her salon! She is very professional and has many years of experience. I highly recommend Lava Salon & Spa for your next hair appointment."
"Janet does an excellent job with styling-cut and color in a beautiful salon!"
"I have been going to this salon for facials for over a year. Suzanne is very professional and is very good at what she does. My skin always feels wonderful after her treatments. It is a great way to relax and get pampered for an hour. I look forward to my monthly appointments."
"I've had many facials in the past 30 years, but have never had the reaction that I had after my facial at LaVa Salon & Spa. I provided the aesthetician information about the type of skin care products that I currently used, including Zo medical skin care products. These products contain medical-grade ingredients, including retinol and glycolic acids that can make your skin more sensitive to other treatments. Knowing this information, she should have been more cautious in the types of products she used during the facial. For example, she said she used homemade products, which no telling what ingredients these contained. After the facial treatment, my skin was shiny and slightly red, which is not unusual. However, the next day my face and neck developed striae, maculopapular skin lesions, with severe itching and burning sensations. I contacted both the aesthetician and the owner of the spa to inform them of the complications, as well as including photos of my skin. Both responded, stating they had never seen anything like this before, but neither was able to offer any assistance other than returning to the spa. I chose to see my dermatologist instead. While waiting for my dermatology appointment, my skin condition worsened, especially on the neck. There were stretch marks, itching, and worsening of the skin lesions over the next month. The reason I'm posting this review is because I'm very experienced at getting facials and I've never had a reaction like this. I want anyone considering going to this spa for facials or any skin treatments to be aware."
