"I have never had to do this but after a few weeks to come to terms with how this played out I'm finally ready to leave a review. I went here and saw Megan. I booked for a full color, highlights, and a cut. I have the appointment confirmation still to confirm that's what I wanted. I went in and she immediately started talking about how bad my hair was. I knew my color was a little messed up but would lift. I wanted blonde highlights. She cut my hair first just a trim then went right in saying she would need to do a strand test. I have never had that be apart of my process before with my old stylist from Delaware. So I was kind of taken back. She was hesitant to even attempt bleach on my head but didnt discuss that with me at all. But let it go and she started and then did foils all over my head, my hair lifted. We got to the bowl and she started talking about how hard it is to do a color correction. That's not what I went in there for at all. I had expressed several times through my appointment we didn't have hundreds and hundreds to spend and I was comfortable with the price that the website said ($75) for the service I was supposed to get. So then she tells me the usually price is $280 for something I didn't even book or wasn't discussed with me. Then she tells me she can't take card payment so I could do cash or zelle. That should have been discussed up front before we got started. I had to get my husband to get cash and bring to me, she did discount the service to around $220 because I told her I wasn't paying $280. I left with my hair being brown because she toned it so dark, not blonde at all, my roots look like they're 3 months old and I was in tears when I got to the car I didn't even let her blowdry or style it before I left, I was so upset because this wasn't what I booked or was looking for. In terms of service or price. Nothing was discussed until I was at the bowl getting the bleach washed out and she sprung all this on me. Now I'm terrified to go to a new salon ever again cause it took me forever to be comfortable coming somewhere new since moving."

"I've been to a lot of hair salons. Salon Bliss Petersburg is the best I've ever been to. Esther Mills did my hair, (which was a mess from my current/and now past hairdresser). She was awesome!! So professional. She knew exactly what needed to be done, everything from color, shampoo, cut, and style, and how to do it. So friendly, patient, caring, and knowledgeable. Willing to give me what I needed. Her help was unbelievable. First time I've ever had a hairdresser that dedicated to a client. You will never find a better hairdresser than Esther Mills."

"The salon is very cozy and everybody makes you feel welcomed. Megan is absolutely AMAZING, I can’t recommend her enough! You will not be disappointed. I came in to get a color correction and she went above and beyond for me. She is the most caring hairdresser I’ve met and will do anything to make sure you get the look you want. My hair came out 10x better than I expected. I will be seeing her for the rest of my time here."
