"Place was always just ok, I didn't go much because first time they cut my hair I didn't like it. Granted maybe they specialize in asian hair. Today Johnny said they wouldn't take anymore reservations because apparently we missed one for my son and if i want I can wait till the guy is free to cut my sons hair. Sorry, you aren't worth the wait. Nothing special about this place, cash business so you know what that means. This ends our time going here, it's easily replaceable as we already found new spot with higher skilled stylist. Keep in mind they have no issue making you wait even if you have an appointment yet make fuss if you aren't there or miss. no thanks, always told my wife I didn't like this place but she wanted to take my son there. Now I can happily go somewhere else."

"I was on my way to a new barber for a spontaneous trip to get my teenage son a haircut. I decided to stop by Salon Lullaby when I saw the Chinese writing signage because I knew a salon would be a better option for the more trendy, haircut my son wanted. The parking was easy and free. The building was nice and the salon didn’t require an elevator ride. The only female stylist in the salon happened to be available (Jun) and took us in. She did almost turn us away because she doesn’t take any other forms of payment but cash. I didn’t have an ATM card on me to go to the ATM she suggested but I did have a check and Venmo. Thankfully, she eventually caved. Maybe she sensed a mother’s desperation to get her shaggy teen a haircut? I don’t know but I’m grateful because she did a fantastic job. My son is a quiet guy so Jun was perfect for him. While I was waiting I couldn’t help but hear the conversation the other stylist had with his client. His client traveled back from Miami just to get his haircut with this stylist. He said he couldn’t find anyone is Miami to cut his hair right. This stylist was very warm and conversational. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a great haircut this place is 100% worth a shot. I paid $25 + tip for my teenage son’s cut (that was a little trendier than traditional male cuts he would get at our favorite barber in McLean). *If you want a front desk receptionist that greets you with offers of coffee and tea this is not your salon. You won’t be coddled here, but you will be given quality service in the form of a good haircut. Personal Tip: Bring a picture of what you want. Bring pictures of what you don’t want. It’s even better if you can show them several different angles of a previous haircut you received that you loved. Getting a good cut requires good communication on the client’s part too. It’s not only the talent of the stylist."
