"I cannot speak more highly of my experience today at the salon with Elena. She was warm and welcoming, and really got to know me and my story with my hair, prior to starting the appointment. She provided me with a glass of wine, a snack, and really took her time to educate me throughout the appointment. As a black woman, it is very hard to find people who truly know how to take care of our hair. Society also makes us feel like our hair is just kinky, but it’s not curly. I loved the fact that prior to the appointment when booking, you provide pictures of your hair so that the stylist can reach out to you to let you know if they can provide their services to you. So that was a relief. I did not feel like I was wasting my time. I’ve been natural since 2006 and it has really been a journey to figure out what works for my hair. But for the first time in my life, I have curls ALL OVER. It just boiled down to finding the right person (Elena) who educated and guided me through what my wash process should look like, and which products I should use and why. She brought back the excitement that I used to have for my hair. I’m actually looking forward to wash day! If you are a black or brown person on the fence because of what society makes us think about our hair, treat yo self! It is so worth the time, money, and pampering. I look forward to seeing Elena again in April!"
