"I absolutely love my nails. This is my first time coming to Hawaii Nails and between the customer service, affordable price and attention/care to my nails. I will definitely return. I have been living in Chesterfield for 2 years from NYC. When I first arrived I had pretty much been wearing acrylic on top of my nails because they had grew out that long from wearing tips for a while. However, My nails began to break when I couldn’t find a nail shop to take their time and care for my nails. I am a “boredom strikes habitual nail biter”. I don’t bite down to the nubs or peel my skin but I just bite the tips off. As a result, my nails grow upward instead of straight or downward. I have been to at least 5 nails salons in the Richmond/Chesterfield area which are: overpriced, don’t post their prices just make them up as they go, drill so deep they cut your cuticles, make appointments only to be there 2hrs, tips begin lifting within a week and the list goes on. I found Hawaii Nails on yelp and they had (7) 5 star reviews vs many of the other nail salons with (30+) 3.5 or less star reviews. I took a chance and called to see if they took walk-ins and immediately I was informed I could come in with a pleasant tone. I was nervous when I arrived because there was only two people there and I have not been to a nail salon in Virginia that doesn’t have a wait. However Jenny took great care of my nails. I am a plain Jane kind of girl I usually only wear natural colors no gel or special powders. I explained to her how my nails grow up and I hate for the tips to stick up and she said “okay I will do them so they go downward” and that’s exactly what she did. My nails came to 25 dollars which I feel is fair and reasonable because I have gotten poor quality service for more than that. Update: I went back for a fill-in just wanted to post some pics."
