CrossKeys Vineyards

"We were invited on December 16th to a JMU graduation dinner for our niece and it was at the CrossKeys Vineyard. It is located in a beautiful valley setting surrounded by mountains. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The French Onion Soup was unique, with a number of vegetables besides the onions, but did not have melted cheese on top. The umami (savory) flavor was excellent. I had the gnocchi main dish (which was a special, not normally on the menu, I believe) and a hot, mulled cider to drink. Both were likewise excellent. My wife tried the European Fondue and the Chicken Caesar Salad. Service was quite good and I would gladly return, though I rarely have reason to be in that area. The only downside is that the open room with a large number of people can get a bit loud, but that was a small detraction. Well worth the visit."

"I love this winery! The staff is very personable. They have a great variety and ample seating. The last time I was here, it was cold, but they have plenty of outdoor heaters. This time, it was super hot, but they have plenty of shade and indoor seating."

"Beautiful venue. From entering the gate and the short drive to the main building, you can see why so many people love it. The rolling hills with vines sprouting across and the amazing backdrop of the mountains. Service was great. We had a group of 6. The wine was very tasty, so much we all got glasses and took some bottles home. There is a restaurant, which seemed to be pretty busy, we got a little charcuterie board, which was amazing. We all loved the jams and mustard. If it represents the kitchen, the restaurant should be amazing. Lots of outdoor seating and covered heated add on rooms. Looks like an amazing venue for a wedding. All around good food, service and wine."
