Fairfax Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

"Our orthodontist sent the referral and x-rays to Fairfax Oral Surgery in Burke on Nov 17. I called on Nov 27 to make sure that we could get an appointment right before the holidays so he would have time to heal during the break. I made an appointment for Dec 20, which was about three weeks after my call. At that time, they said they didn't get the referral or x-ray. So, I sent it again that day. Today is Dec 12, eight days before the surgery. I just got a call that they received the referral and x-ray but do not have time for the consultation and the surgery on that date. What? How can you call a week before the surgery to tell me you don't have time anymore because you just decided to look at the x-rays now?! Obviously, because you don't care about your customers. So, they wanted to reschedule for mid-January. They have nothing during the break now that all the kids are home. I cannot believe the horrible customer service. They had almost an entire month to look at the x-rays and referral but waited until the week before, then wanted to reschedule my appointment. I made an effort to schedule an appointment when I needed it, and they can't make the effort to look at an x-ray in a reasonable time. Ridiculous. I am so pissed that I have to find another oral surgeon now, reschedule the follow-up orthodontist appointment and find another time frame when my kid doesn't miss school for the recovery."

"We recently visited this practice for an oral surgery consult for our son. We had such a poor experience that we paid for a second consult and treatment elsewhere. Although I'm sure this was a routine exam, the doctor made no attempt to connect with our child. The exam was rushed. This practice is busy and had the feel of a factory. You cannot schedule procedures at the time of the consult; must wait for a scheduler to reach out to you days later. We were also told that the doctor we met with would not be the one doing the procedure. We filled in forms prior to the consult, but were asked to bring copies of what we'd scanned and sent (why bother with the portal). Prices quoted were exorbitant, with an added "facility fee' - paid significantly less and got much better and more personal attention elsewhere. We tried this practice in part because of reviews, so sharing our experience."
