Reviews of Crow's Garage
"Crows Garage is an awesome shop. Straight forward, Very reasonable priced. All the technicians and state inspectors are very outstanding at their jobs. I would give it 10 stars but it will only allow me 5. It's 06/13/2022. So this is a revised update. I see a lot of negativity about them failing for inspections. As a state inspector from a different shop I can tell you that they are completely correct. Your turn signals have to be amber in the front, amber or red in the rear. There are certain things that I've read that Y'all have said that I would fail as well. Do you want a safe car or not? A rear turn signal flashing white could be mistaken for a reverse light. They follow the law and so do I. If in doubt after a rejection sticker take it to the state police and they will inspect it and tell you the same thing."
"Do not take your vehicle to Crows. I scheduled a state inspection 2 weeks in advance to arrive and have to wait 2 hours while they "inspected" my car to then try and ambush me with a estimated worth of repairs exceeding one thousand dollars. I tried to be reasonable and negotiate a estimate for repairs essential to passing inspection in which I was told that I could not pass Virgina State inspection without over 800$ worth of repair. I refused their service ( which you should too) and took it to a honest place where I spent 150$ on actual needed repairs and the whole experience was done in a timely and efficient manner. Save your time and money and take your vehicle somewhere else."
"Worst experience at a garage ever! I understand I live further away, but not much. I understand workplaces are understaffed sometimes. Dont blame the customer when you take all day (literally 8am to 630 for a state inspection) and they have 3 minutes to pick up their car because you have better things to do than make up for your mistakes of taking 10+hrs to do a state inspection that only needed a small light fixed (which you apparently fixed in the 3 minutes since calling to tell me to wait for your call to head over). What kills me the most was that I called the day before to get the truck in for an overnight stay. I followed all the directions and they screwed me over. They have definitely changed over the years. They did I haven't been there before but, I just got married so my married name isn't in the system. Now they need to take it out because I will never be back. Hope you guys are proud of your laziness."
"I will never go anywhere else. I showed up for a state inspection and oil change with a car in terrible shape. Not only were they very polite about my absence of auto-knowledge but were very gentle with my education. They provided an exemplary service, fixed everything in addition to the oil change and service, all at a great price."
"Great first impression! I had a breakdown near Monticello & 199 and called their towing service at around 9:00am on a Tuesday knowing nothing about Crow's. Two very friendly guys arrived in 15 mins. and got me back to their garage. I was very happy with the people at the shop and they gave me a very reasonable quote on the work & towing. Ended up being about $50 for towing & $200 for a dead starter (incl. labor) which after some research was a pretty good price for my car's age & condition. Their shop & lot will seem a bit sketchy (lots of dead cars lying around) but the people really seem to know what they're doing & do it quickly!"
