"The doctors are amazing, haven't met a bad one yet. All are super sweet, but it's 1:57pm right now and my 4 month old is sick right now with more than likely covid. They are suppose to turn their phones back on from lunch at 1:30, it's going on 2pm and they're still off. Pure laziness and inconsiderate. I'm about to just take her there and walk in since they're too stupid and lazy to turn the phones back on."
"Other reviews are correct. We’ve been going here for 4 years. The doctors at this office seem to be pretty good. However, the phone nurse and office staff are rude. They talk over you, won’t allow you to explain, and are condescending-all this over nothing. This could happen even if you are calm, nothing is going on with your child and you could just be scheduling your next well child appointment and you get met with the toxic office staff. When something IS going on with your child, the last thing you want is extra stress added on to the situation. Unprofessional and unnecessary. Also, I hear they have been very unforgiving if you’re late. I’ve never been late, but they’ve definitely made me wait longer than I should have and have forgotten to check me in while I sat with my sick child in the waiting room for an hour."
"In light of recent Doctors visits, I wanted to to reflect on how great my Pediatric care experience was with Dr. Tommy Collins at this office growing up. I am now 22, but growing up I saw Dr. Collins for ~18 years. For a long time, I thought all Doctors must be the best people in the world because he was the only Dr. I knew having never visited a specialist or anything, but when myself or my brothers would see him, he would always give us ample time to thoroughly go through an updated history, review of systems and physical exam. He was also tolerant to some absurdly hypochondriatic concerns I had like when I thought I had diabetes because I had simply been eating too much watermelon. Since I have gotten older, I have never met a Dr. who was so willing to give completely healthy patients the time of day like Dr. Collins does. He is one one of the few Dr.'s that I would claim practices health care instead of only sick care. I can also comment on the management he gave my brother for an autoimmune disease. He was able to catch his condition quickly, and get him the care he needed and send him pediatric GI specialist. Overall, Dr. Collins is just a sublime physician and a great family guy and Dad outside of being a Doctor. I would absolutely recommend anyone in the Knoxville area to see him for the best Pediatric care in Knoxville at their beautiful new office! I should also mention the medical staff were nothing but helpful here too!"
"I tried to call and make my 3 year old an appointment and was informed that he was basically kicked out as a patient and they will no longer see him due to us apparently missing 3 appointments between our two children over the last year. I tried to explain that I personally hadn’t missed any appointments, and that we’ve only lived in Tennessee for a year and a half. Since then, my Ex and I have had multiple different job changes, address changes, and gotten divorced. We and our children have been through so much in the last year and all I asked for was a little compassion and to please let us get our baby checked out because he is sick. I was informed that it didn’t matter which parent missed the appointments, and that if I wanted my child to get back into their practice and good graces, I could write the doctor a letter asking for our sons to be reinstated as patients. I am sorry, but that is honestly ridiculous. I understand that they have a policy in place for a reason and that no call, no shows are not okay, but seriously life happens. And our life has been extremely difficult this past year. I am just thankful that my ex and I are co-parenting well and that he is even able to make the time to take our children to the doctor when they need to go because sometimes with our jobs it’s hard. We will not be writing a letter and begging them to let our children back in as patients, and to be honest I was never impressed with their practice or doctors anyway. Yes their facility is big and looks nice, but that is literally all they have going for them. If you are looking for a more personal, caring, and friendly practice for your children, I would look elsewhere. Luckily we have found a new pediatric office in the area that was willing to get our son in right away to be checked out. I hope that we will end up being much happier with them, and that maybe their practice won’t reprimand us for simply being human."
"We are using Knoxville Pediatric Associates for my daughter Olivia. We just completed our third visit with this facility. The check in staff are super nice and attentive. The facility is modern and clean. All of our appointments have been professional and detail oriented. We really like the doctor's and nurses. All of our questions are answered and explained. I feel they genuinely care about our daughter. I trust them with my child and would reccomend thier services."
