"Ryan was the best mechanic we have encountered (ever) on our Volvo engines! Unfortunately we had several to compare with… We have Volvo D13-1000s that are under warranty. Both had minor oil leaks. After 4 attempts to fix it by other Volvo dealers, we ended up in the Norfolk area when the last mechanic had taken the turbos off to replace the timing covers and did not seat the clamps properly and burned up our wiring harnesses and nearly caused a fire! The engines were a total mess. Ryan not only cleaned everything up and diagnosed the issues, he also replaced missing bolts from the factory and other issues as he discovered them. He communicated everything, was very responsive to my questions and took care in fixing our problems. I more than once thanked him for fixing it “like it was his own boat”, as I am particular and keep the boat and engine room meticulous. Mary in the office was also great and did everything possible to expedite the parts from Belgium. My only regret is they only serve the area they are in and not my home port of FL, as they would get all my future business! Thank you for getting our boat back to its original condition!"

"Great people. I have gone to them twice now and both times I was impressed. Unlike other boat mechanics in the area they actually call me and tell me the issue before performing the work. They can be a little hard to reach during the lunch hour, but that’s alright. The only downside is their yard is a little cramped so sometimes you can’t get an appointment when you would like. The mechanic and dealer I bought my boat from never provided me a service manual despite me asking several times. Action master got me an electronic copy within 3 days of me asking. They are a further drive than my old mechanic but they are worth it!"

"We had struggled with Volvo Penta electronic diesel control problems for 4000 miles and 3 prior service attempts to resolve. We were traveling on the Great Loop and having issues of losing control of our port engine multiple times per day. We contacted Walter and they were able to move us to the front of their schedule at a very upfront and reasonable to us cost. They listened very carefully and ordered parts anticipated and overnight shipped them so when Walt got to our boat he was ready to go to work. Between those parts, Walt's experience and expertise and some "out of the box" thinking we were able to resolve our problem and run the last 2600 miles of journey with no electronic diesel control issues. As important as all of that was; 2+ weeks later while on the Erie canal we had some unrelated electrical issues - after I had tried everything I could think of - by the grace of God Walt called just to see how things were going for us. Again he took the time to listen carefully to my story and he gave me just the right counseling on what my problem could be - after doing what he recommended we were back on line and trouble free the rest of our trip.
