"The menu is expansive and the food is what takes the lead in an experience here. Not the biggest place, but that is what makes it special. Tried two of the speciality sandwiches, The Heaven and the Purgatory. The Purgatory had a runny egg and was the favorite of the table given it's uniqueness and quality of flavor. The sauces were also plentiful at the table and delicious. As an eastern NC native, I was pleasantly surprised by their Carolina/vinegar sauce. A must stop if you're in the area."

"We ate here two nights in a row it was so good. The first night we ate in and had BBQ pork and Brisket. I had Mac and Cheese and bake beans for sides. My husband had macaroni salad, and hush puppies. Employees were very friendly and helpful, answering our many questions. Oh and the cupcakes were delicious! Today we got there a little later (6:00) and they were super busy. We got our order to go, wings, broccoli salad and collard greens. If we were going to be in town tomorrow night we might have gone back a 3rd time and got something different to try."

"Tasty and good prices. Excellent service and delicious, moist pulled pork. I tried most of the sauces. All were very good. If you like vinegar on your hush puppies, try the Craig’s Carolina sauce on them. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area."

"This was our first time and we absolutely loved it! The staff gave great suggestions and the food was excellent! The pastry chef gave us free desserts because it was our first time! We were so touched by the friendly and family-like atmosphere! We will be telling our friends and will definitely be back!"
