Reviews of Coliseum Oral Surgery Center
"The worst company nobody answers the phone and when they can’t reach you they will cancel your child’s appointment which you have too wait months to get. They don’t care if your child is in pain nothing the medical field isn’t what it’s suppose to be. It’s all about money not humans don’t waste your time with companies like this! They don’t care about the patience especially little children!"
"Took my son here to remove some of his baby teeth that needed to be removed already but since he's autistic our dentist could not pull them so she referred us to Coliseum Oral Surgery. Arrival time was at 7 am, the check in and paper work itself did not take long. The doctor and anestiologist came in and explain to me the process and what to expect during his surgery before taking my son to the back for his oral surgery. He is usually not a big fan of doctors but with the staff they were very understanding of his needs and were patient with him. The process was easy and I waited in the waiting room until the nurse came and told me that he's all done and he did great (she also kept me updated during his surgery which was important to me). She went over with me all the after care instructions and which work was done, she also explain to me what to avoid (food &drinks, no straws, no hands in his mouth lol most likely his own etc.)for the next 24 hrs and 4 days od recovery afterwards. I was then instructed to pull my car up to the front by the entrance and they will bring him out when he is ready to go home. They wheeled him out in a wheelchair and I was glad because he can be heavy, he was awake and still sluggish and went back to sleep in the car on the way home. The nurse call later on in the day for a follow up to make sure he's recovering fine and he is doing great. The whole process did not take long and it was convenient enough for me. Thank you to the staff for everything and will definitely recommend this place to parents with special needs children. They stay in touch with you from the moment you make the appointment up to the days before it."
"The front desk lady was super sweet and so nice and very informative. The surgeon who worked on my daughters teeth did amazing, the work looks very good! The problem was the experience. I wasn’t allowed to go back with my 4 year old while she got put to sleep, instead the anesthesiologist came into the waiting room and picked her up and took her back while we both cried and her screaming asking me to please come too, the anesthesiologist refused to let me back with her. Then after she was done I was told I wasn't allowed to come back and sit with her while she woke up (how weird is that considering that would be the best way for a child to wake up from anesthesia) Then I was told she would be coming out of the side door , and the anesthesiologist had my 4 year old (fresh out of surgery after getting 3 teeth pulled and 6 crowns) HANGING over her shoulder with 1 shoe on and one off, no wheel chair, and dripping blood out of her mouth and still in and out of consciousness. SO UNPROFESSIONAL and definitely not the kinda place that “puts the patient first”. anesthesiologist was also very rude from beginning to end and had no remorse for me or my child. DONT bring your child here unless you want them to be traumatized."
"My daughter was super anxious and they were amazing with her. From walking in Gina was incredibly kind and helpful. Nurse Dora, Dr. Holland, & Dr. Katsantoni we’re all amazing! They made the whole process so easy & kept me informed. I’m incredibly thankful for their kindness and for taking such great care of my daughter! Highly recommend!"
"Great experience today for my sons procedure. Dr. Vera came out to talk to us and informed us of every step they would take followed by the anesthesiologist. Once it was time for my son to go back, he was nervous since I couldn’t go with him. The nurse, Dora was absolutely amazing!! She distracted him with conversation, took his hand and walked him to the back. Thank you all for taking such great care of Jordan today! He has his tooth fairy note ready! :)"
