Reviews of Aspen Dental
"I normally don’t write bad reviews, but my experience at this Aspen Dental was bizarre and odd and I’m still wrapping my head around it. After reading other poor reviews, I had a similar experience and hope to help someone realize what they are getting into when they schedule a new patient appointment with them. I arrived there around 2:10 for a 2:30 appointment and had a fairly easy check in process. I wasn’t taken back until 3:00pm, which I understand the delay especially with medical offices. I went through a series of x-rays for about 15 minutes that were quite painful to be honest and unlike any other dental x-ray I have had done in the past. After the x-rays the technician/hygienist took me back to the dental chair and took my blood pressure. My blood pressure was abnormally high (145/99) and I have never had a high blood pressure reading in my life. I’ve also never gotten my blood pressure taken at the dentist? I waited another 30 minutes after she left and told me the dentist would be in shortly. When the dentist came in, she put my x-rays up on a screen and prodded in my mouth for maybe 30 seconds. She asked me if I’ve ever had a cavity before and I’ve had one in my life. She told me that everything looks great except that I have three cavities, which was unexpected, and didn’t sound right to be honest. I asked her for evidence of the cavities, and she said, “she couldn’t show me, but to look in a mirror when I get home.” Then she tells me that she will send me to the patient care coordinator, and that she will go over billing and scheduling to get the cavity filled. I asked the dentist if I would be getting my teeth cleaned today then and she said no we don’t do that on the first appointment. Again, I thought this was bizarre and the most abnormal dentist experience that I’ve had. So I wait another 30 minutes and at 4:00pm the care coordinator finally calls me in and tells me it’s gonna be $800 and that I can pay in monthly installments to get on the schedule. At this point I just asked her to print out my paperwork and I left. I have no intention of going back here and wanted to warn anybody before they waste their time. I was there for nearly 2 hours and no dental work was completed and the dentist didn’t even appear to have any interest with my teeth. It felt like the entire process when I got there was to sell me on work that I didn’t necessarily need. I will definitely be getting a second opinion, but also will never step foot in that place again."
"Today I spoke with Dr. Goodman about a situation that I had, that i probably should have spoken to her directly about sooner, but just got around to doing so here recently this morning. And the level of professionalism that she showed was beyond what I had expected. Without going into detail, she fixed the issue that I had and urged that if there were any more discrepancies to feel free to reach out to her direct. I have to admit, I had once had a bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended, but that was straightened out with a phone call, an apology on my part for not communicating and everything was straightened out just like that. Thank you Dr. Goodman for your phone call, and for your understanding and being sympathetic to the situation."
"i went for my appointment and the lady doing my x rays was absolutely horrible. she was very rude and seemed to not care at all. after the extremely painful x rays I went into the room for an exam and cleaning. after waiting an hour for someone to come into the room she did the exam but barely even checked anything. she also didn't give any information about my teeth at all. and when she cleaned my teeth she was being extra and it was like she had no care in the world about if I was in pain (which I was in a lot of pain because of how aggressive she was) and then when she was flossing my teeth it felt like she was slicing my gums in half. I will never step foot in that disgrace of a building ever again. DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!"
"I didn't even get to go to this place & I'd give it 0 stars if I could. I called to schedule a root canal in which I was referred by my primary dentist. The office didn't answer, which the reviews said they wouldn't, so I spoke to someone at the call center who said I'd need to speak directly to the office to schedule any endodontist appointments, however, she was able to schedule an appointment for my wife & gave me the direct line to the office in case I wanted to try giving them a call on my own time. So I schedule my wife's appointment with the call center rep & tried to give the office a call to schedule my root canal. Again, no one answers at the office, so it re-routes me back to the call center. I advised the call center rep that she couldn't help me because of what the previous rep told me. She insists the other rep was wrong & that I have to schedule a new patient appointment before being able to get the root canal. I don't know the rules, I don't work here, so I just followed along with providing my information as requested for the "new patient appointment". We get off the phone & I receive an email with my wife's name on it (I gave them my wife's email for her appointment confirmations) but with my appointment time & date. How do you collect all of someone's information for a "new patient appointment" & then proceed to change my wife's appointment in your system & change the email address in which she receives her communications. The people are giving incompetent, so to save myself a headache, I canceled the appointment & I'll be going somewhere else. My experience was enough to confirm that all these reviews are correct for giving them 1 star. Don't send me a generic comment from your AI bot, DO BETTER!"
"I keep trying them because I really like their dentist, but the girl told me I had a balance ( even though she couldn’t fully explain it and I just paid over $1500), after going back and forth, i gave her my card.. my mistake because what she told me BEFORE she swiped my card and right as she swiped my card were 2 different amounts. I asked for them to cancel the charge and I was told they can’t cancel or return. They have to submit the request, I asked that they do. Called in 2 days later because the charge now is posted, the girl doesn’t see the request, told me she would ask the office manager ( which she never placed her on hold to ask) and then proceeded to tell me it could be weeks to months before I get my refund."
