Not only did they get it out they found out that the previous dentist that originally filled it had drilled into my sinuses and filled into my jaw bone which made the extraction basically an oral surgery. I have another tooth that needs to come out an I will return they are very good at what they do and the price was great, no problems afterward. Thank you."

"I had 32 teeth extracted and an immediate denture provided as a walk-in all in one day. I chose one of the "beginner" denture packages; the premium level denture. The office is an assembly line. Get there well before 7:45am to get a good spot in line, because they only take so many people a day and if you are near the end you might get turned away. I am a dentalphobe and was very afraid of pain. Dr. Hedges numbed me better than I could have ever expected. He pulled all of my teeth quickly and I felt no pain, I swear none at all. I left with my temporary denture, a prescription for pain medicine, and instructions about after care. I got my permanent denture when I was healed and my gums were ready. I opted for mini dental implants for my lower plate. I have had my dentures and implants for four years now. I am very happy with the quality of my care. Now, for the downside. I already mentioned getting there early and that this is an assembly line practice. I found that I had to slow the staff down when I needed adjustments - if not I would get less than a minute to approve the adjustment and then sent out. When that happened I always found a scratchy spot or a rub in the same spot that I came in to have corrected. Once you're outta there it's going to be another early morning on another day to get the adjustment right. The staff is professional and cordial - not friendly. And they are trying to get folks in and out as quickly as possible. This does not bother me. I have been a nurse for over 30 years and my interactions with many different providers of care have proven that you do not have to be warm and fuzzy in order to do great work. With this practice you will need to be a real advocate for yourself. If not you will be rushed in and out without all of your concerns being addressed. Educate yourself regarding the dental work that you wish to receive and do not be timid about speaking up if you are not clear about what is going on or if you feel that your concerns are being overlooked. At times I've had to write a list for myself so that I could keep track of my concerns. My bottom line is that I have a great pair of dentures with an excellent fit and of very good quality. I am losing weight and will need another adjustment soon and I will return to the Chester, VA Affordable Dentures office."

"I believe some of the 1 star reviews are unfair.. I personally know of 4 different people that have gone here and have been treated good and received very nice dentures that have held up nicely. I went here for a consultation and yes there is quite a wait but in my opinion it can be worth it."

"I had surgery on my lower jaw before I had my dentures mad and they blamed my jaw for the horrible fit. The shape of my jaw is slightly different. The dentist did not take this into account when he made my dentures. Instead of shaping my jaw he left the edges completely open. I can fit my tongue underneath the denture while I am wearing it. All day the bottom moves up and down. This is my first set of dentures so I did not know what to expect, and they fooled me. I went back right after my permanents were made and complained that the bottom was too wide open. The dentist blamed my jaw. When I told the dentist that my temporaries had fit well and stayed on all day he said, "You were very lucky." Actually my temporaries were made wrong on the first try and I did not have to ask for them to be remade. This was a cheap fix so it was not a problem. They will not remake my finals because that would cost them money. As much as they cost more to make, I had paid more to get them made. Here my satisfaction should be more important. The final set is supposed to last me ten years. They need to fit. Now I cannot even use glue All the glue ends up in my mouth. The denture only touches where it is set on my jaw, the sides stick out. They are laughable. But the dentist made let me believe this was something I had to get used to, like it was normal. I am pretty angry because I paid for the nice dentures, they did a terrible job, and they would not correct them as promised. Instead they will made up excuses and sent me away. They run the place like an assembly line. That would be fine if they can go quickly and do a good job. My jaw may require ten or fifteen extra minutes to fit and any extra time costs them money. They don't care about doing it right, they just want to go fast and make money. Affordable Dentures rushes everything and does not care about the patient!!!!! If you return in the time allotted for problems they won't fix the problem if it means making a new set! If you absolutely have to use Affordable Dentures buy the cheapest pair. Do not waste money on the nice sets. Instead save that money until you can meet with an actual Dentist who will take time and make sure you get a good fit. I could easily make a better fit with play-doh. At Affordable Dentures the patient is just a dollar sign. Save your $$ and go elsewhere."
