"I’m extremely displeased with my experience at Associated Oral & Implant Surgeons Kingsport, TN. I had an appointment back in 2021 to get my wisdom teeth removed and was waiting on surgery until it was delayed because of COVID (perfectly fine i get that) then in 2022 when I tried to call back multiple times to get in touch with someone about either rescheduling the surgery or meeting up with a surgeon to redo X-rays/discuss my teeth I was told by a receptionist that i would be put “on a brief hold” while they accessed my files and then the call either dropped or the receptionist hung up, the next day when I called another receptionist informed me that since it had been a while since my x-rays were taken they would have to be done again and I told her that would be fine and I understood, she told me she would get in contact with the oral surgeon and get back to me asap about rescheduling and they never contacted me again… In Late 2023 my dentist did a second referral to Associated Oral & Implant Surgeons Kingsport, TN and I went to my appointment to meet the Oral Surgeon and was sitting in an office waiting to speak to someone for so long the motion detection lights shut off TWICE while i was in there. After my appointment I was told my total would be around $1,400+ and that none of my insurance covered it so I schedule my appointment for early 2024 so I could save up and pay with cash. Two weeks before my appointment my grandfather passed away so I called Associated Oral & Implant Surgeons Kingsport, TN to let them know I wouldn’t be able to make it to my appointment in two weeks because we needed to plan out things for the funeral and such and the receptionist (I wish I would’ve written down her name because I wish I could give her a shoutout for her absolutely fabulous customer service *sarcasm*) told me that because i previously cancelled in 2021 I could no longer be a patient there even though I literally couldn’t come in because they had COVID restrictions which prevented me from doing so. But whatever that’s fine, I can find another oral surgeon that doesn’t waste my time or money. Thank goodness I experienced this before letting them touch my teeth…"

"Actually 4.5. Overall a very positive experience for oral surgery. The staff are pleasant and willing to answer any questions you may have. Dr. Pickup was efficient and professional and made every attempt to ensure I was comfortable with the procedure. I fit into a cancelled appointment for both the exam and surgical appointment so I saw them one day and had surgery the next. A staff member called the next day to check up and see how I was doing and if I had any questions. That’s a real plus and something I wish all medical providers did. I’m 3 days post surgery removing upper wisdom teeth and the discomfort is minimal."
