"I took both of my daughters to this surgeon to each have all 4 wisdom teeth removed. Both girls wound up with very painful infections. The office was not very helpful. It took the office staff nearly an hour to answer the phone after multiple calls when I needed them most. Then I was told that the surgeon went on vacation and wouldn't help. I paid over $1,000 on the day of the surgery and asked how much more money was owed. I was told, "You don't owe any more money". Shortly thereafter, they sent a bill for each girl, each bill in excess of $300. I paid hundreds more in emergency fees to my dentist, who gave us the post operational care instructions that the surgeon neglected to do. When I called Dr. Perkins' office back, I received a very cold response and absolutely no help except to tell me to call my insurance company. When I brought up the infections, they laughed and made out like that was just part of the process. So, I recommend this surgeon if you want painful swollen infections, lies about the money you owe, and someone who is going to leave you out in the wind when you need help. I could not be any more disappointed in Dr. Perkins' office. If you have other options, I would seek them. I guess a vacation getaway and payday is more important than the health of my daughters. I wouldn't give them a whole star if there were an option for a piece of one star."
"Dr. Perkins pulled a tooth, and later inserted an implant for me, all of which went well. It was a difficult extraction, as an abcess has almost gone through my maxilla (jawbone). A few years later, he extracted another tooth and gave me the option of inserting another peg (expensive, since I have no dental insurance), or just leaving it. He did not pressure me to get the peg, and reassured me it would not affect my bit or appearance. I was given nitrous oxide during both procedures, which allayed my anxiety, and the procedures were painless and healed well. The office was nicely furnished, and people were only allowed in who had appointments at that time, to reduce infection with COVID, which I appreciated. Staff were friendly and polite. Payment was due at the time of service, which I understand. As a former health service provider in practice, it takes a lot of money to keep and office up and running, and you can't give your services away for free and stay open."
"My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed and all went well. She had a stitch pop out and I called the doctor on call…twice. No answer and no return call. Called the hospital and had the doctor paged several times. No return call. Saddened by the fact that medical advice wasn’t there when I needed it after hours."
"Great doctors but accounts will literally harass you multiple times a week with calls and letters threatening legal action until you pay. I won't be going back there ever due to it. I wake up it is dark.. I get home it is dark. I can never get the office to answer during my lunch break. I've never and will never mail a check. Their loss."
"My husband is having his wisdom teeth removed today. I called yesterday to confirm the time and ask about any special instructions/preparations for today. I was told nothing to eat or drink after midnight and that he'd need someone to drive him. That is all. I was never told I would NOT BE ALLOWED to leave during the procedure. Now we have no groceries and I'm NOT ALLOWED to go get them. I won't be able to get them when he's out of surgery because I will need to stay with him. I explained this to the receptionist and no concern at all was shown. She stated the reason I am required to stay is "in case something happens since he's being sedated." I am not a medical professional. There would be absolutely nothing I could do to improve the situation if something did go wrong. Are there not protocols in place if a situation like that should occur? I offered to leave my phone number and return quickly. She was adamant I was "required" to stay. I just can't comprehend the purpose of this rule and I'm completely mind blown that it wasn't mentioned yesterday. I'm beyond frustrated and disappointed. I changed my rating from a 1 to a 3 star because the doctor was very kind and explained the aftercare thoroughly."
