"They're not open at 3:00 p.m. on Friday"
"Wife & I are new to the state and coming from a large metropolitan area, it was a nice change of pace entering an almost empty DMV. We registered on line prior to showing up, and with the required forms of ID, scanned the QR code at the entry door and waited a few minutes for a few customers already at the counter. Ms Shifflett helped us; going above our expectations by finding a solution to my wife’s situation that may have otherwise prevented her from getting her license issued. Ms Shifflett could’ve easily dismissed us for not having originals of one of the forms of IDs., instead she took the time to offer assistance in contacting the right agencies to get the necessary info - and all while being pleasant and not making us feel like we were a nuisance. We’re grateful that our experience was positive and that future customers will have the same. Otherwise, simply book an appointment with Ms. Shifflett ;)"
"No one ever really likes going to the DMV but my experiences have always been pleasant. I don't know about everyone else here complaining about it giving them one star maybe it's not the folks at the DMV maybe it's them"
"As a new resident to Virginia, I had a very positive experience registering my automobile and obtaining a driver's license at the Lexington Customer Service Center. I did not have an appointment and waited less than 20 minutes to see an agent after I checked in with the receptionist. The receptionist and agent were very courteous and efficient."
"Not all of the assistants at the Lexington, VA DMV are terrible at customer service. The assistant at the entrance was terrific. She was very courteous and helpful. However, the attendant behind the counter was immediately combative and hostile. Her delivery was way less than hospitable. She didn’t make eye contact with us. She was short with us. She was rude. I did ask her if they receive customer service training to which she replied that they did. I question the validity of that training. I refuse to work with her should her window open when it’s my turn. Beware…"
