I even appreciated popping in to see if my daughter's retainer had come in a week before her appointment (we were next door at the dentist) and they were kind enough to squeeze us in so we wouldn't have to come back. Although, we wouldn't have minded! The facility is clean and bright. It's not dingy and dull like most dental offices. Definitely a win for a great ortho office!"

"I have serious doubts about Dr. Dennis’ capability and expertise. I went in for a consultation and did not feel confident in her assessment at all and I have consulted with many orthodontists before and after her. She made it sound way worse than what my teeth needed then proceeded to tell me I should have worn a headgear when I first wore braces (yes, who the hell used that for the last few decades?). She didn’t seem very confident in her own assessment either, she acted very jittery and clueless. After Dr.Dennis left, her assistant who was honestly nice (albeit she knew no better) told me “It’s gonna be okay, you’re beautiful”. I mean I appreciated the kindness but why did they have to act like I have terminal cancer or something - a bit condescending, don’t you think! Now what doesn’t sit right with me was a clause in the contract indicating I have to pay more if my treatment exceeded by x amount of time if I don’t extract my teeth - so the easy way out to fix the problem or guaranteed I’d waste my time and money. This spoke volumes to Dr. Dennis’ expertise to me. Needless to say I decided to drive two hours away to get braces and till this day I don’t regret one bit (no, I do not need to extract any teeth nor wearing any appliances other than the braces, let alone a freaking headgear, jesus christ!). My advice to whoever reading this, Charlottesville doesn’t have a lot to offer when it comes to braces. P/S: had it not been for the persistent newsletter Dr. Dennis kept bombarding me with that I never signed up for, I would have not even remembered this experience. I hope this will help someone researching for the right treatment as I was on the same boat years ago."
