"Stopped here while passing through. Interesting place. Nobody greets you when you walk in. It's a free for all with the tables( mostly high tops). We took a booth and waited a few minutes before a waitress took our drink orders. Got our drinks and explained 3 more people were coming. Our 3 other people showed up, but the waitress went MIA. They were waiting a good 5-10 minutes before a different waitress asked if we needed anything. Fast Forward another 5-10 miuntes and we still haven't placed our order- but a 3rd waitress finally comes to take it. The BBQ platter tasted like the meat was warmed in the microwave. Mac and cheese was barely warm. McDonald's gives more french fries in an order than this place does. Boneless wings platter- it's a huge metal platter that looks like it belongs on a farm to feed chickens not in a restaurant serving food. It wasn't covered in any type of parchment paper, just a metal tray with some wings on it. They had little flavor. It did appear that all the locals who just wanted to drink were well taken care of though. While our sweet teas reamined empty until we held a glass in the air, the beers were steadily rolling out."
"Lazy Parrot used to be our favorite wing place, for years. My husband, family and I have been fans for over a decade and a half. Unfortunately, in recent years, it's really gone down hill. Recently, when ordering takeout wings, we tend to receive them nearly plain with barely enough of the chosen sauce included underneath the wings (not on them, but under them--it's clear the wings themselves are dry and plain). We've ordered several different flavors at this point, hoping desperately to find a flavor that is reminiscent of the ones we used to love from LP, and yet they all seem to have the same problem. This evening, my husband and I decided to order them "extra wet" to see if that would help, and we received them in the same exact condition--barely cooked, severely under sauced...and to top it off, the tiny amount we did get of the garlic parmesan wings sauce tasted like plain milk. There was hardly any spice, very little (if any) garlic or parmesan discernible. They were so gross tasting, I couldn't bring myself to eat more than one flat. This is NOT how these wings used to be! It's clearly turned into a major pattern with this establishment at this point, and I wonder what has gone wrong at this business to be suffering so badly by under cooked and sauced wings for this long. Such a disappointment! We are likely done ordering from them at this point, until we have reason to believe that it's been improved, and I sure hope it does. Oh, and I forgot to mention--they charged us for the "extra wet" despite the fact that both of our wing orders arrived with very little sauce on them at all. Barely sauced in the first place, much less "extra wet." What's going on, LP?! Get it together!"
"I brought my date here for New Years after hearing good reviews from a friend. Upon arriving, there was a lot of yelling and rough housing from other patrons, so my date and I sat at the bar. When asked for our ID’s, they informed my date (who had a license from Tennessee due to recently moving to the area) they would have to run it with the manager. Odd, but we were fine with it. The manager then comes back with my date’s ID, and her ID has been clearly folded completely in half. The manager informs her that she legally cannot give her ID back since it was able to be folded. Eventually, we were able to get her ID back since that was her legal driver’s license, and the manager said “I’ll be cool and give it back to you”. Never in my lifetime of going to restaurants and bars have I been treated with such unprofessionalism and disrespect, not to mention my date was completely embarrassed with no just cause. Even gas stations have tools to scan ID’s to ensure their authenticity; why did this establishment have to BEND my date’s ID clean in half? I am thoroughly disappointed with the treatment we received, and will be informing my friends that this business does not deserve their patronage. If my date receives any trouble in the future for her bent ID, I will be contacting the manager of this place to pursue legal action."
"So to start off. I just want to say this place is the nastiest place I've been to. They got the name right, lazy!! To begin the profiling at the door against bikers and what you can and can't wear is illegal. Secondly, You walk in the place put your arms on the bar and good luck picking them up. You have 10 bartenders there but they are to busy serving themselves and enjoying there time. I ordered a draft beer and she was rubbing the rim of the glass with her hand just after she pulled the bag of trash out of the can. I watched many people at the bar with empty drinks while the bartenders took care of the regulars well hope they can keep it a float. The owner likes to put his hands on people who have no sleeves but his staff is allowed to wear almost nothing. I hope ABC and the health commission take a look at this dive notes will be dropped to them."
"I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the bird cage. From the time I opened the door the service and staff were great! We ordered the wing platter with a side of fried zucchini. The wings were absolutely great! They were big, crisp and juicy. The fried zucchini was also good and everything washed down wonderfully with a couple of golden beverages. I would definitely come back! Poly want a cracker for sure.."
