"Selvedge Brewing is a 5 out of 5. The beers are incredible and so is the food along with great indoor and outdoor areas. Brandon was our server and he was very attentive and helpful with suggestions on the food, beer and things to do in the area. I highly recommend stopping here."
"The place has a large indoor seating and decent outdoor as well. There is a creek best by. We could not try any of their beers but did try their mushroom radish tacos and roasted potatoes. The tacos were very flavourful.there is also a cafe across the Brewery where you can get coffee until 6 pm, which in my opinion is great. Will consider coming to this place again to try their beers when will be visiting Charlottesville next time"
"Cool open space in a reclaimed wool mill by the Rivanna river. When you make the right into the complex, be sure to make another right and drive around the bldgs. Otherwise, you'll have to navigate some steps if you make a left. They share a corner with a couple of other places, a restaurant, and I think a wine spot. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't crowded, so I grabbed a high-top by the windows. The ordering was via a QR through toasttab (if I recall correctly). You can either close it or leave a running tab but need a card either way. They didn't pour flights but were offering a smaller 6oz pour. I tried some of the current offerings and was feeling the need for some comfort food, so I went with the mac-n-cheese. Ordered items were brought to the table pretty quickly, and the folks working were friendly."
"Local, seasonal, inventive, delicious food with tasty diverse beers brewed right here. Attentive server and easy ordering from the optional app. The chef is super; just try the incredible pickle plate, 5 different veggies preserved 5 different ways! Smoked mushroom tacos, every bit prepared on site, who else does that? Small plates of flavor explosions with carrots and sweet potatoes. I regret I had only one stomach to fill. Yes, I recommend highly, even if you park up top and have to descend 2 floors to enter. (There is same level parking if you can find your way.) Just go there!"
"I came for the first last week (Thursday-Dinner) for a going away party. I was very impressed with the old factory upon arrival and enjoyed learning about its history! Always a plus for me! From what I believe this is a reservation only type of place. They have very large and long tables both inside and outside (I added pictures) for groups of many sizes and I'm sure even wedding receptions. That being said, there were some other things going on when we went but we sat at a table with our group. As for the ordering process they seem to prefer to bring things out to people as they come and go instead of waiting for everyone to order at once (which I like). My friend and I decided to try a little bit of everything! We had the pretzel loaf to start which was delicious! It came baked in a little loaf with salt on top and accompanied with a sweet ground mustard and a really yummy, melty, cheese dip. We also had an order of hot wings that came out hot and perfect! A little crunch, no sog, and the flavors were great! Next I had a salad which was very fresh and came already topped with a vinaigrette. I also had the grilled summer squash which came with yellow and green squash grilled and topped with olive oil. The veggies weren't overdone and the slight seasoning was perfect! We shared an order of the mushroom tacos which came with an assortment of mushrooms, veggies, enchilada sauce, and cheese inside. They were delicious! Lastly we had dessert which was also great! Their special was a mixed berry Hand Pie served warm with Ice Cream. The pie itself was amazing and the crust was flaky on the outside and warm and soft in the middle. So good. I had a cherry soda to drink but they also provide you with water and cups to drink from. My husband had a few different beers they had on tap and they came in so many sizes! Perfect for if you like to sample! All in all I would definitely go back and hope that sometime in the future I can host my own function at the Wool Factory! TIP: Right in the courtyard outside of the restaurant is a wine and cafe shop where you can find all types of items to bring home with you! Jjo"
